The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
JW Bellamy ---"What do you guys think of gold play BMV?"
All of us who were shafted by the SHG episode know the risks we take investing in anything these days and I am sure similar risks may be a factor with BMV.
For what it's worth I may consider a smallish position in BMV when I receive the £30k ish profit from the SHG payoff. Thought the Australian CEO Colin Patterson was experienced and knew his stuff.
All the best.
How about "SHANTASHAFTS" for your boat.
You could dine out on explaining the meaning to interested fellow sailors.
Best of luck whatever you call it.

Bluntly put ------ but true.

I might be mistaken but am sure I recall someone on here saying CC would be based here in the UK?
Perhaps someone on Twitter/X may wish to ask CC to confirm what her location situation is but I suspect it will remain a secret.
Given that there may well be advantages with her either being in the UK or the States it's difficult to know which would be the most favoured.
Yes, lack of information is the problem.
For general information I had a quick look at the 7 Avacta companies registered at Companies House of which 5 are active, the other 2 having been dissolved in 2019.
Noted that David Alastair Maclaughlin Smith's position as a director was terminated on all 5 active companies on 30th April 2024 via lodging the appropriate TMO1 (Termination of Director Appointment) forms with Companies House on 2nd May 2024.

"and as John Lennon might have put it - 'Give Christina a Chance'. "
I doubt Lennon would have put it like that as it doesn't scan. He may however have put it as--
"all we are saying, is give Chris a chance" which does scan.
Thought all your other comments were bang on.
Bella6532--."Step 2 will be fairly soon and pretty significant IMO..."
Agree, there are procedures that all parties have to follow in these fundamental change situations ( of which a change of CEO is one) and I don't think it will be too long before Dr Coughlin starts doing things her way, particularly regarding updates on FDA accelerated approvals and what's going on with Dr Tap and trials at MSK and other venues in the States.
I wish her well in her work and efforts to bring help to all suffering with this dreadful disease
SparkyA1------"I think there will be some surprises along the way."
Hopefully in the upwards direction?

Thanks for your view, I will continue to hold.

Thanks for your reply.
Now that the Court hearing date has been set for 8th May and last day for dealing in SHG is 9th May and the present SP is around 14.75/14.80, I am puzzled as to why there should still be reasonably large ( ish) buys going through, it just does not seem worth it. Or are some folk anticipating that the court will not grant final approval and that the SP would gain a higher level?
Any ideas why?
Cj62 ------
That had occurred to me also.
Anyone know where this is or is it a secret?
Is it the Royal Court in Guernsey or somewhere else?
Thanks
The problem now of course for this company and its spokespersons, is that can anybody believe a word they say?
I think not.
SparkyA1 ------
Thanks for the reply.
I can see why it is possible still to trade because the Scheme Court date has not yet been set ,but my point was why would anyone bother to do so as it doesn't seem worth the bother to me given the tiny amounts being bought.
I also have doubts as to this going through, with all the problems that these shysters have caused with their shenanigans and the voting shambles to boot.
Can someone please explain the reason for the tiny trading ( buys ) today, mostly less than 100 shares bought.
I can see why people may be selling ( fed up waiting for their money and now divi assured) but why would anyone be buying.

Will do the same for Interactive Investor.
Do posters here happen to know if there are levels where offered Take overs or Buy outs are required to be confirmed to the SHs of the company subject to the offers?
Or is it just left to discretion?
Just interested.
Timster --------"He also has a fancy American news anchor to introduce him."
If you were thinking it was Katie Pilbeam I think she is British?
BuenaVista -------"SP 100p by 4:30 tomorrow, open 50p Thursday."
Care to explain your reasoning?
****goestheeasal --------"i'm wondering what incentives were put in place for such a speedy response....?"
i'll give you a clue ----it comes in brown envelopes and it's called backhanders.
