Close friends get to call him TC, for those who remember a certain resourceful, feline cartoon character.
As said TC,, it will probably take a good year to breakeven on the recent works done and the site overheads, no company maker but better than P&A and restoration of the site.
So 50 barrels a day 365 is around £1 million in income. On top of that the hedge drops again 30th June. The income from gas and oil looking very good. MCAP of Angus is looking extremely low.
Ohhh and I wouldn't get too excited lol,,, that is 12 trades ALL day totalling LESS than £500 & 106k shares lol.... THAT says more about the company than any poster on here !!! tick tockkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Ohhhh FIction, you are so delusional, I don't do fear mongering, just facts !!! nothing more nothing less.
I have seen plenty of your type come and GO lol,,, tick tockkkkkkkkkkkkkk

I can certainly see what's not happening - and that'd be your Jan 24 assurance that the ANGS SP would be at a minimum of 1.5p by the end of March this year.
And I'm the naive one? Well, I certainly would be if I listened to any of your incessant ramptastic fairy tales.
Tits, you are extremely naive. You cannot see what’s happening ?
HITS, his name says it all. I hope that one day we will have to apologize to him.
News flash... a comment of "looking good now. 7v2" wouldn't normally be followed by another 6%+ drop.
Another blinder from Mystic Meg Onetomany. He can't make an even vaguely accurate next day prediction.
Looking good now. 7v2

From Drill or Drop's article on Star Energy:
Mr (Ross) Glover (Star Energy's new chief executive) said:
“The skills needed to develop the geothermal industry already sit within the onshore oil and gas industry in the UK – this could be a real “just transition” for oil and gas workers to a green technology that is proximal in terms of skill set.”
He said geothermal “fits perfectly” with Labour’s plans for GB Energy, a publicly-owned clean energy company ...

Rampfest nubes. Lol
I've been invested here for circa 7 years and barely post on this board so hardly a nube and certainly not a ramper. And I don't see anyone new or old trying to ramp this either. I've even stated that there would be no interest in the oil or gas production and that government following through on a policy is hardly a given and that I only see SFB and the site as a money maker here and not legacy assets or any other pie in the sky idea they come up with elsewhere.
Just thinking out loud after watching the election debates and hearing multiple mentions from labour on a GB Energy entity and we what others may think, but ok, it's all just a pile of..... in your opinion so let's not even have a conversation.
I'm sure though if there was any truth in a government backed scheme there would be a better chance of getting whatever planning was required with them backing it than without.
A 13 post nube clearly knows best ;-)
Imo
Says the totally clueless one who thinks bubblepoint is related to spirit levels !!!
Just a thought, but listening to labour keep talking about setting up a GB Energy company to look after UK energy interests if they get elected, could there be scope for SFB to be eligible for investment from this proposed new entity to develop gas storage should it become a reality?
Whether from an outright purchase, partnership of sorts, or funds to develop via loans at more generous rates.
Of course, nothing concrete for any policy or how it would potentially work, but could be something to bear in mind, even as an outside possibility if any government actually follows through on a policy once elected without it being scaled back so much to be unrecognisable from the much vaunted concept.
Not suggesting for a minute there would be any interest in the tiny amount of oil production or even SFB gas, merely the site itself for its potential for storage.
Too much of a stretch?
They need to add an additional sentence to their "about Angus" section, stating:
Angus is a proven leader in mining, well undermining to be precise, we are proven experts in developing an asset, diluting the daylights out of it and submerging it in long term debt, resulting in stripping any chance of our retail investors seeing any gains of note, and ensuring those around us are ermmm well watered,.... our aim is to continue expanding on this aspect !!
Sounds more in line don't you think ??? it is the reality so far.
The ambition is there: "Angus is focused on becoming a LEADING onshore UK energy infrastructure company.
Angus Energy plc is a UK AIM quoted independent onshore Energy Transition company with a complementary portfolio of clean gas development assets, onshore geothermal projects, and legacy oil producing fields. Angus is focused on becoming a leading onshore UK energy infrastructure company ... Angus Energy operates all fields in which it has an interest.

Or, there are no tankers?
Frictionless: I don’t recall posting my CV.
There’s no doubt that the new CEO has more experience, at senior levels, than the previous occupant of the role. That wouldn’t be all that difficult. He has less relevant experience, however, than the Gazprom/Wingas people who paid Mr. Forrest all that money to take the depleted Saltfleetby gas field off their hands.
Not sure we need a tanker watch.
What exactly will it prove?
The days of getting excited about it are long gone. The expected volume is known, not really that material (in terms of a game changer for finances) and we will be able to see output from various sources in due course.
Nomlungu,
The problem is are they producing 50bbl/day EVERY day or two days a week, need to wait and see the UK onshore production figures once they eventually show.. I won't hold my breath though for it being actually daily, and not just "day"
Where is Adrian and the other 'eyes'? If they are producing 50 barrels of oil a day, the first tanker should be leaving the site soon. But the ramp window may be short because if the tankers do not leave regularly then punters are going to work out it is rapidly declining.
Will there be a placing after the first tanker leaves and rampers generate a bit of optimism? I expect a certain poster might go into postalot mode.

Right, time to go out and switch on the BBQ, Fictionnoless's hot air isn't enough to cook down a good steak lol...
Ohh dear, the insults begin lol.... like I said, YOU stick with THEIR words of wisdom, I will stick with looking at the chart to determine if THEY are calling it right and adding ermmm value !!!
They generally hold back on info that is needed to make a more educated punt, and put out info that at a glance looks good but is generally worthless !! as is Brockham !! just cheaper than P&A and putting the site back to nature.
Brockham will probably cover it's self of the cost of the workover etc, but I wouldn't wait for a dividend payment any time soon lol... Fictionnoless !!!
Frictionless: you must be new to this. Bubblepoint doesn’t spin the negative, he points it out. One doesn’t need to spin the negative here, it speaks for itself.
The news that investors need is not Brockham, however they spin that. It’s the detailed terms of the new offtake agreement and the new hedges. Angus is about Saltfleetby, a heavily depleted gas field with problematic structural characteristics, financed with a very large loan on still-usurious terms while it depletes further. They should tell us how usurious.
By the way !! who were you BEFORE your NEW identity lol.... hmmmm let me guesssssssss lol......
PMSL Fictionless,
I don't care what you or others think of me, it has zero bearing on my wealth or health thanks, you cannot take up ticks to the bank lol...
As for you relying on their words of wisdom !! well I prefer to look at the chart to see how well their words have translated to value/MC and from where I am sitting it looks diabolical. Anyway YOU stick with your wonderful words of wisdom, they will no doubt earn you loads of ermmm faceless friends lol...

Wonder if that 10m sell at 0 -.35p was a little chunk of Forrest offload, nothing stopping him doing so.
Looking pretty poor in investor response really, under 4m shares traded so far today, out of 4.4 billion in issue.
Mind you, as said before, Brockham was never going to be the fire starter needed, just better than the site doing nothing.

No pun needed. Currently 5v1 so it’s real.
BP,
i was punning on one of OTM's regular posts here.
SB, with only 5.5m volume for the day, that's around £20K worth, from a total 4.4 billion in issue, doesn't lend it's self to moving up anytime soon, give me a shout if you start seeing 10 x that in the day !! lol
Ah now HITS, L2 is (Insert High Number here) vs 1. Going to move up!
I'd not set too much store in Mystic Meg Onetomany's predictions, Barney.
He's the guy who promised you and anyone else stupid enough to listen back in January that the ANGS SP (0.5p at the time of his oh so astute divination) would be a minimum of 1.5p by end of March.
Two months after that self-set deadline, and rather than trebling as per his assurance, the ANGS SP is actually down by 25%... the man's a genius.

The train is leaving the station , you need to buy a ticket to get on the train, not long now.
A nice little step forward :-))))))))
In the wording of "about Angus" at the bottom of the RNS, note that the focus is on "becoming a leading onshore UK energy infrastructure company", ie there is no mention of overseas ambitions.
Also "onshore geothermal projects" feature in its portfolio.
Or they kept it quiet because they didn’t know the work over would be successful.
Difficult not to be negative about this Co. after some of their deals have sucked the value out of what they produce.
Bammo, as welcome as this news is, I do not see a re-rate on what is a low production level generating a small income stream.
Well done to the team for getting this back online, but for me, the money for Angus is still only to be found in SFB and gas storage potential

I don't understand the negativity here from people who are supposedly invested.
Richard Herbert is taking the company in a different direction, which is what everyone wanted.
I particularly liked the radio silence around the progress of this in order to manage expectations and to keep the soap dodgers totally in the dark.
The company has turned a corner since the days of GL . Enjoy it while it lasts.

Also any increased production will always be short lived as the field is hitting the "dew point" hard, unless they get on with the infield upgrades, velocity strings, Booster etc. It is the simple reality of where they are with depletion Vs production, and I haven't seen them RNS any rush to get on with such works !!
The slight downside to producing as much as possible is that any gross (i.e. pre new hedge) revenues from gas sales are subject to an 8% royalty (going to Mercuria/Aleph) which will almost certainly get paid in diluting confetti at the Jun 30th quarter end.
Smacks somewhat of a rock and a hard place...
Thick finger. The Mercuria/Aleph hedges for the current period were set at a price of about GBp36/therm. What replaced them, if anything, we don’t know, do we? Angus will be anxious to ensure that they produce as much gas as possible over the current period. They won’t want a repetition of July-August 2022.

... Benchmark Dutch gas futures jumped more than 13% on Monday, the most this year. It’s not clear how long an unplanned outage will last at Norway’s massive Nyhamna gas processing plant. At the same time, Norwegian flows into the UK’s Easington terminal, an entry point for a third of Britain’s total supply, plunged to zero.
The outages show the pivotal role Norway plays in supplying Europe after most Russian pipeline deliveries were halted following the invasion of Ukraine. Even after the energy crisis, the market remains very sensitive to supply issues and prices react quickly when there’s any deviation from the scheduled seasonal maintenance plans ...

With the global finance sorted, can you please confirm what the priorities will be for the board for 2024? Asked on 1 February 2024
Once the global refinancing has been completed, anticipated to be by the end of February, the company will be working on 4 main priorities:
1. Optimise the recovery from Saltfleetby Field and the value of the field. This includes capital projects to install a booster compressor, to allow production to continue until reservoir abandonment pressure and the preparation for drilling a new well in 2025, as described in the CPR published in October 2023.
2. Generate value for shareholders from the currently shut-in oilfields operated by Angus in the south of England. We are exploring options to restart production from the Brockham field during the first half of 2024 and are hoping that the legal challenges to our plans to test the Balcombe well are now behind us.
3. Initiate a project to evaluate the longer-term potential for gas storage or gas disposal at Saltfleetby.
4. With the company’s financial situation secured, look at growth options for Angus.

Similar theme in Bloomberg's morning round-up.
June is a key month for energy traders in Europe as they stockpile fuel for Winter. Heatwaves can quickly deplete gas storage levels through increased demand for cooling.
"Traders are bracing for a record-smashing Summer that will shake up commodities"
anticipates a hot Summer and says some experts are predicting US natural gas prices could jump more than 50%, because of hot weather boosting air-conditioning use.
Plus the risk of an intense hurricane season in the Gulf of Mexico affecting oil markets, etc

That question has two TRUTHFUL/REAL answers, as follows:-
a) Nobody outside the company knows, because ANGS in its usual non-transparent fashion has revealed no details at all on the offtake agreement with Trafigura, nor on the terms of the replacement hedges with the same party.
and
b) Not enough to consider paying Mercuria and Aleph their monthly 8% royalty on gross production revenues in cash. The company - to date at least - would instead rather issue more diluting confetti.
Fortunes
How much we making a day ?
The more interesting question, so what has been the average monthly production over the last 12 months? DYOR. I'm not selling.
Clive,
It doesn't really matter which way you meant it, ultimately they need to be at optimum production regardless of price, they need the revenue to carry out all the planned works JUST to maintain production levels over the coming year or so.
Choking back on the "hope" prices will be higher is not how most if not all fields work, the price "could" just as easily totally collapse too, just as it did with oil in the not to distant past, minus $40 barrel, yes you could get $40 bbl to take it off their hands lol...
