Ig is showing 750k shares traded which is quite a lot for afp
Wait until COB and see what trades pop up
How can this fall by almost 10% on so little turnover?
Can’t see that he could be less positive about the AFP licences - those licenses and the early exploration success there are the whole reason why Colin has caused XTR and GLR to tie up land in NW Zambia
I don't think Colin would willingly ignore AFP. The geology there directly affects the potential of the XTR and GLR NW Zambia acreage. And as he pointed out, it is looking good. But we are waiting for the quarterly update from FQ so maybe he felt it best to bypass AFP than risk saying the wrong thing. - he has stated that the FQ and Birdie geologists are in close contact.
Possibly his thoughts are also more focussed on the XTR vote which is the more urgent matter. Just my thoughts and good luck with your decision.
Hi guys,
Been following here a little while but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Was listening to the mid-week SR interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvJD9yMjBf8 and honestly came away with the impression (perhaps falsely) that C.Bird et al are more enthused about the prospects for GLR / XTR than AFP.
Q: Is that a false assumption on my part?
Or is it just that with the deal done with First Q, they see the AFP destiny a little removed from their control?
Zzzzzzz, get something done Colin FFS!!
Dumped them already Swanny?
As a general FQ point:
https://www.mining.com/web/first-quantum-annual-copper-production-falls-plans-layoffs-in-panama-mine/
Hi MH25
I think FQ will be so pleased to get away from Panama and all its problems, how fortunate it would be if they move straight into Zambia and relocate a significant portion of their manpower and resources. Yes I am also keen to get an update probably this week
GLuck
I’m not so bothered about whether FQ exercise the option on the other two licences (though would be nice). Indeed I sort of suspect they won’t, as they’re (a) very excited about the licences where they have already exercised, and (b) having difficulties elsewhere in the world which will be straining their resources somewhat. But we’ll see. Much more excited about the upcoming drilling results on the licences FQ are already drilling
Yes really hotting up. Will get much hotter after the Wednesday if First Quantum decide to JV the other 2 licences in Zambia. Let’s hope it’s the catalyst for a huge Copper district where afp can sit back and bank 30% all year long.

Does seem to be hotting up. Maybe we will get news here soon ?
Somebody bought £25k of AFP shares this morning - a LOT for this share
First Quantum have until 17th jan to decide on the JV options on the remaining NW Zambia licenses so we are due news on this any time
Nearly in blue atm
Yes, can’t really understand why he got them so cheap, although possibly something to do with the seller’s tax year end? In any case, no doubt Colin was happy to oblige!
So the 375000 share trade at 1.6p on 29th Dec was Colin having a little top up. Only £6k - maybe it was some options being used.
Thanks Swanny for the advice, you obviously know what your talking about
GLA
Nice holding :-)
If this goes the way Colin thinks it’s going to, you’ll be one happy guy. As will I tbf, despite a much smaller holding than you. Here’s to a good 2024
Yes that was me
Swanny, are you the subject of today’s RNS (if you don’t mind me asking)?
Well, I'm in and I think this is Colin Bird's best company right now. Although he has his detractors, he has had some big wins in the past and I have never seen him so excited as he is about this one.
Hopefully we will have an excellent year ahead, but as you say keep your head down and dont worry about day to day movements. It's quite hard to buy many shares without a spike so if you want more we do need some sellers to come out from somewhere.
Hi Cygnus
Many thanks, I’ll just keep my head down and observe from a distance. If I get any spare funds over the next few weeks I’ll top up.

Welcome Toplocks but be aware: this isn't the liveliest of boards but at least we don't have any trolls!
We'll know we're hitting the big time when they arrive....
