Agreed, Stage 2 is the real prize here and it won't take long to get there with high cash generation starting within a few weeks (months at the most) as and when finance lands
Trying to be positive, CB may not wish to comment on Molefe as its JLPs news to give and who knows a separate deal could be close - over the years by experience its often better if he's not chatting all over it on the Roast
IXM looks a strong candidate - very roughly 2bilion shares traded in last 10 days or c 10% of the shares, so we are well placed for a firm push upwards on news with a lot of new holders around the .1 level
RE: Colin Birds updated AIM record4 Jun 2026 13:46
I think we can all agree that CB is very good at finding interesting and potentially very valuable African resources. The downside maybe is that he's too good at it and can't help adding and adding so now too many plates to spin.
I do think that once BZT financing is agreed that project will start to take care of itself. Likewise KEN is now cashed up to produce the Q3 MRE, AFP probably on the backburner for a bit so it should be time for him to fully focus on GLR and get a deal or two done for us - that's the hope, rather than searching for the next "blockbuster"
Raise £3million and do it ourselves then we don't have to give a big chunk to a third party throughout the life of the mine, probably beneficial to shareholders over 5 or 10 years if they are trying to screw colin down on the terms - just get it into production!
If we can get Silverking generating cash pronto this should all be self financing to get us towards that annual $100m revenue, commencing around the end of the year - nice
I hope Colin is now negotiating better terms given that these characters have delayed so long we had to do a discounted raise and the price of copper has gone up - surely time to give them the finger and find someone else if they don't sign
Thanks News, but as we are below the notifiable level for Blackstone we could and probably have been selling down the holding since then. Unless there's a more recent update on that number in an RNS then its probably a question that only CB can answer.
I'd also be interested to know how many Blackstone shares we have left? They have recovered a bit of late. I wouldn't be surprised if we have been selling down the balance of the holding, but I guess there should be some value left in those.
Worth noting that zinc is over $3500 and there is a dormant zinc mine included in the NZM deal which would add to the economics over time.
RE: $400m valuation - 10% recoverable fully valued up herec28 May 2026 15:42
If someone offered CB $150m or similar for KEN this year I'm pretty sure he'd bite their hand off - I think there's a fair chance of that happening as well.
He's got some very good prospects in his other companies, notably BZT but KEN is the one that could offer a quick sale giving him £20million plus now- Bird in the hand etc
