Agree Ella
Colin mentioned at some point during the first 8000m they would stick a hole in footrot.
With emphasis now on drilling the south eastern anomaly, it’s apparent that the confidence the team have in extending the open pittable resource has taken precedence as the project scales up.
Is unlikely any EM drone surveying would have been done at footrot as the purpose was to use it to help targeting a recon hole into it.
Thanks Ella,
Clearly some work has been done in this area. That suggest that either there is little to report between BR and Footrot or CB is keeping the results close to his chest.
I think the best place to go for information about Bushranger in general in the original presentation from April 2020. Much better put together than anything more recently.
Page 8 and 9 point out that an IP survey has been done previously along the 10km strike. It indicates an anomaly to the SE of Racecourse was already known about in early 2020. IP from Footrot also shown on page 9.
I've also had a quick look at the July 2020 company presentation. What I find interesting is what a difference a year makes. Bushranger first mentioned on page 13 of that presentation after Zambia and Manica, etc.
The following gives what I believe is the latest info we have on the drone EM survey
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/XTR/further-drilling-progress-update-at-bushranger-24dfyxo1wg307gz.html
Steve, I would have thought that if the survey had been done they would have reported it.
Seems perfectly logical that a geological trend like that seen at BR and Footrot could well extend between the two so who knows.
Cygnus7 - I think the only other IP survey was at Footrot as per the RNS on 13th July 2021. It confirmed "a large chargeability anomaly extending for over 1km" but didn't give much more info.
There was talk of doing an Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) survey but I don't think we heard anything more. Don't know much about AEM but I wonder if it was tried but didn't find anything? I believe the sulphides are picked up by IP because they are conductive but they are not magnetic. Therefore (I think!) the AEM would need to pick up the copper which may be too deep.
Thanks Andy.
As funds are likely not to be as tight (due to Africa) as most exploration companies experience it seems well worthwhile doing this work. Whish reminds me, wasn't there a reference about 6 months ago to a drone based, broad brush look at this area? How that would work I can't guess as there's no physical contact with the ground but then artillery shells detonate above the ground based on the changing capacitance due to the presence of the ground. Don't understand the details of that but assume it would be a similar process.
Cygnus
I've mentioned that before.
What is between Footrot and the SE anomalies? I don't believe that has ever been IP let alone drilled? If you draw the line from open pit to footrot there is a big area that may be of interest???
I believe the total distance from NE open pit to footrot is 10KM, same length as cadia system.
Just saying.....:)
Does anybody know if there has been any work (presumably IP survey work) even further south of the southern anomalies? Who knows, these things could go on for miles !
Stevemocal at 11:14am, Sun 17 Oct 2021 in answer stated that SLIDE 19 is NOT a CHARGEABILITY map from the XTR Oct 14, 2021 Presentation. That is correct.
When I first heard about the SE ANOMALY at Racecourse as mentioned by Colin Bird, Chairman, XTR at the London meet on 14.10.21, I pointed out TO the CHARGEABILITY MAP for Racecourse North & SE Anomaly [2 maps] taken from the XTR Apr 2020 presentation on their website on Bushranger.
Sun, 17.10.21
My reading up drew same conclusion steve. So im with you (but not an expert)
orangecannon - Slide 19 isn't showing chargeability (the sulphides/pyrite), it is showing resistivity. Resistivity is a measure of how well an element conducts electricity and the lower the resistivity the better an element is at conducting it (with copper, silver and gold being the best).
We've not had a great deal of IP information from Xtract but what they will have been doing is looking at chargeability and resistivity together. What they want to find (and presumably did) is high chargeability coinciding with low resistivity because that indicates a 'lode' deposit i.e. "a deposit of metalliferous ore that fills or is embedded in a fissure in a rock formation or a vein of ore that is deposited or embedded between layers of rock". Areas of low chargeability coinciding with areas of high resistivity indicates a sterile area. The red areas on slide 19 are therefore showing where there is a lode deposit containing copper/silver/gold... and isn't it a wonderful sight!
That's my understanding anyway. If I am wrong about anything then I'm more than happy to be corrected as it isn't the easiest subject to learn about without being able to ask a teacher questions! The following article really helped me as it explains what different results mean and may be of interest to those that like their research!

schlemiel, glad to hear that you're still with us , both in body and spirit. Although it has to be accepted that many of us will head below as they do say that there's a stairway to Heaven and a highway to Hell. That gives an indication as to the volumes that are expected in each direction.
OK, I'll get my coat.;
Stay safe
that's die not 'died', obviously. I'm not posting on here from beyond the grave, residing in hell I if was, obviously

'That's one of the pleasures I get from investing. The research gives you baseline knowledge in so many things..'
that is so true. The prociess of buying and owning stocks that operate in many different parts of an economy opens up a new world of information, learning and disciplines that you would never be exposed to if you didn't become involved the equity markets
I'll be doing this till the day I died and I have never met a person who buys stocks that think otherwise...it's addictive, destructive, enriching and exposes you to all forms of challenges, intellectual, financial, psychological, emotional, personal...
I have lost girlfriends and fiancees due to losses racked up in the markets though thankfully I am up net overall
OC,
That's one of the pleasures I get from investing. The research gives you baseline knowledge in so many things..... most I keep to myself at parties though..... I dont think other people are interested.

Thanks OC, don't suppose you could post a link to where you researched this?
I've been doing some myself but all the stuff I've watched might aswell have been in Chinese as I haven't got a clue what their talking about!
I need it explained to me in basic terms.
Yup
From my reading the red is magnetic pyrite, not copper
The copper sits above / around the pyrite flume
Can't believe I've started reading geological texts at my age, but I need to understand the drilling.
Remember that AA drilled straight into the bullseye at footrot and got pyrite from memory, I think this is where the magnetic signature comes to help them identify the edges of the intrusion.
Shortly? Anyone been following Colin long enough to be able to interpret his use of this timeword into ordinary English? End 2021? End 2022? later? Presumably it comes after imminent, but is longer or shorter than 'soon'?
Anytime before his impending retirement I suspect
Copper has a lower resistivity and is a better conductor of electricity than metals like iron. Copper is a better conductor than iron, which means current can flow easier (with less resistance) through copper. Low resistive tells us the red gear is almost certainly copper.

"Potential for NEW MINERAL ZONES indicated by GEOPHYSICS." [Pg 17]
I think the magnetics also play a part in the magic recepie, I don't think we got to see the drone survey results ?
