LittleWing - I believe it is an old gold mine and settling pond. So definitely gold in them there parts!
It is also worth noting that Straits Exploration sunk some holes into Bushranger in the past and in hole BRC014 found 2m @ 8.07g/t gold (see link below). It looks like XTR pointed their hole 7 right at that hole. I think they are hoping to get confirmation of gold is those new porphyry units in the eastern section.

in the top right hand bit of the map, is that a small old historic open pit ? I wonder if that was a small gold recovery operation as it looks too small for copper ? My belief is we have 2mT in our growing open pit. If we have 0.5mT at 0.15% in the "known" resource shaded area then each dimension only has to increase by just over 50% to give us 2mT. That blob which Looks like old workings tells me the resource squiged out to surface in that area and was sufficiently good grade wise for somebody to have had a prod.
But until we get several (not just 1) goodish assay results it may not amount to much. Obviously we suspect the team must have a reasonable idea of the Cu densities but until we have confirmation the market doesn't seem to care (yet at least).
At 622m drill length and at -55 degrees that was 360m step out. As the pad was next to the old footprint border, that potentially extend the area by say 340m (Approx) NE direction.
That's a big increase.
We gonna need a bigger map :)
The more areas that are explored, the more they are finding, they seem to find more wherever they drill. Just wonder when the penny will drop with the market, at some point the magic 2mt is going to be pretty much a nailed on certainly, and then some. Can both open cast and deep mining be done here? Guessing the more open cast can be done the better?
Looking foward to the repeat of January's excitement again.
I forgot to mention the higher grade crown which could also add additional tonnage to the resource.
Howzap, we already have close to 500kt in the inferred jorc with a cut off of .15. if that doubles on the parallel side then 1mt. There extensions to the NW and we still have a large area to the SE that hasn't been tested which could also double or triple the current jorc.
Also if the top of the open pit extends wider and longer in theory the open bit can be deeper and get more ore incorporated into the open pit.
I don't think a 2mt contained open pit is at all overly optimistic.
Yes, yet again the Market seems to have managed to contain its excitement !!
I feel this RNS was considerably clearer, so well done Colin and team. One problem for me has been fully understanding the new drill plan (for which thanks). For example I find it difficult to link new plan to the previous video and seeing what is new and what is old. Maybe that is my inability to see the wood for the trees. Share price goes up a tad then drops as though the RNS didn't arrive. Ho-hum, perhaps the assay results will have a bigger effect.
>>>>...... 2mt open pit?? Excluding the deep stuff and foot rot!
It will be a big ask to hit full on 2mtCuEq from open pit including the extensions incorporated into the fully extended model.
A big mine of 400mt is CB’s dream so not too far off dependent on grades and cut-off of course.
Is possible they would hold off a final decision on the next block of 8000m as CB did suggest if the results are good from the first lot they would consider infill drilling.
Made another top up Eureka and this latest news really isn't reflected
Seems we have a little SP action :)
F100
Thats the question DeSteen.
There is up to 12k metres of drilling to follow on from this current approved 8k of drilling. Im just suggesting that it would be pleasing to me to know if the plan is to consolidate and wait for some assay results before setting remaining drill targets (based on more knowledge of what is there) ..... the drilling plans need to be approved so im just interested.
Im sure Colin and the Team have a plan ....wondered if they would share it.
Maybe a bit early but I'm throwing it out there...... 2mt open pit?? Excluding the deep stuff and foot rot!
When you look at the aerial shot below - it's remarkable how far H17 goes away from the original resource - this is becoming truly massive...

I reckon the owner of that property a bit further to the NE (almost off the picture) could feel the drill bit turning under their feet...
ATB Shorn
I purchased a small additional chunk at 8:06 this morning - chickened out from putting more in.
Can't buy even 10k volume....
What do you mean Joeman, targets beyond holes 19 & 20? Because 19 & 20 are "in progress" according to the drill map attached to todays RNS. And it could well be that they aren't sure how to proceed beyond the 19 & 20 as it might depend on how the drilling on these actual holes turn out to be. They probably adjust their drilling plan/strategies accordingly.
I agree, it would be a good confirmation if we could be told that the next targets for phase 2 were identified and being applied for..... or alternatively if they are waiting on some assay results before progressing with those targets.
Colin.... a note for your podcast later - mention the plan for the next tranch of Phase 2 holes..... is the plan submitted or are you waiting for some assay results first?
Good RNS
The problem is hardly anyone is buying, less than 100k shares traded.
Hole 17 is amazing! Looks like we have a parallel to the existing resource possibly doubling the size. Well done team and thanks for the drill plan.
Also note that 17 wasn't the last hole and 18 and 19 are in progress. Maybe they are carrying on with the 20,000m?
I assume we will find out shortly from a presentation or interview.
You might struggle to buy even a hundred pounds at the moment as i just tested it
Nice to see the drill plan, CB playing paint by numbers as assay results come in.
Looks like we weren’t a million miles off for those who played guess the drill location at the start of phase two.
A whole new ball game opens up. My pension pot pottential is looking very good. I feel like going down there with my bucket and spade, dig me up some copper and maybe a little hold as a bonus. Well folks the gravy train gets thicker.
