Agree and I wait for the day the relevant rns brakes that cycle, fortunately, this is only for fun, more of calculated casino punt, would never want to be in the position, to have to carve a living from it, day jobs, far easier :)
All the same it is very irritating, the pump and dumping that is going on at present :(
HarChris, agree with you on the movements of AIM shares being driven by chasing PIs however the volume and therefore the rise was being driven by Euronext on Friday. 6m+ euro in about 3 hours. I dunno if thats a leak but I'm pretty sure its not PI money.
What you wish for is an entirely different market to one that currently exists, sadly!
Im not cant stand traders, shorters, personally, but hey ho!
Rather a Co was left alone, to grow and bloom, not manipulate it up and down, for a quick buck...
But when do we ever get what we want!
This happens all the time on AIM. Share prices get pushed down as far as they possibly can when sentiment is low. Eventually when traders believe the bottom has been hit they start buying and a domino effect occurs, others rushing in recognising they won't get lower and probably won't get another chance (in this case) below 255p, 260p etc. Some will buy in speculatively in case there is a leak which drives the pump further
This is the sort of pump that I'm comfortable with as even with the RNS fails to follow the share price is still sitting at such a low. We aren't actually waiting on game changing news, this is undervalued based on everything we already know!
Well with two thirds the shares and the volume started with them, something started it?
Like I stated, just my thoughts, be interesting to see how it pans out towards the end of this month?
If by 'someone over there knows something' you mean they've had wind that DHSC talks are productive and promising then yes I agree with you, but that's not much more knowledge than we have. The company has reiterated their confidence re the dispute so we should expect to see a positive outcome and hopefully soon.
Baring in mind it started in France and they have two thirds the shares, Id say someone over there, knows something, personally... massive jump from all the doldrums, we have endured...
Thinking also a lot of the large red sells, could well be buys if you look at the prices of some of them?
Personally, I think dhsc cannot be far off sorting now, as with all that it going on, Gov will need the support of Nova, and will want the muddy waters cleared...
Just my thoughts...
Maybe the market isn't as corrupt as we thought. Naaaaa
I'm also expecting news soon I just don't buy the actual leak theory, it's not necessary to explain Friday's sudden price action.
We'd been trading sideways and flat for weeks and then it broke out to the upside - that does not suggest a leak.
There was 2m in volume traded in france in only a few hours. To me, thats not normal and more than a technical reaction.
Hopefully we get news this week.
After all the suggestions of leaks and what have you Friday I hope folk realise now that the rise Friday was more of a reaction to the deteriorating covid outlook and our ridiculously undervalued share price.
Interest and attention should only grow from here as we head towards the winter months...

Are also similar devices
@Poidster
Certainly Co Prep not essential but very desirable dependent on the size of workforce of company/service or the need for quick turnaround of results considering the nature of the business or organisation. Of course, costs need to be considered, but probably not given top priority where certain companies or other Govts are concerned given the long term devastating effects of this virus, both on public health and consequently economies.
Many African countries appear to have already moved in the right direction regards surveillance and genomic sequencing given their history and experiences, in addition to lack of vaccine and production capabilities.
Thankfully, Novacyt realises too, along with the WHO and UNICEF, that we're not safe till we're all safe.
Morning all, B2, I noticed Siemens have a similar device to co-prep but looks a bit bigger and the whole workflow takes several hours.

@B2H thats not an unreasonable assumption, versalab can be deployed anywhere and there's absolutely no mandatory requirement for Co Prep, exactly how its being used now.
It requires more skill to use reliably.
By introducing co prep they have made this even easier to use, so its another option that could be bolted on to improve accuracy and efficiency but its not essential.
I can't think of many scenarios whereby versalab would be deployed and used by a single individual, if there's an ebola outbreak in Africa, for example, there would be a whole team deployed to that area, with all the associated PPE etc required, one extra suitcase or crate for co prep wouldn't be an excessive burden.
Novacyt are simply just knocking down barriers that would prevent adoption
Thanks for response Poidster.
The reason I discussed the hospital lab setting, is because I think would expect to see instruments employed in a near patient testing environment, being used by trained individuals who don't necessarily have a co prep sample automation cabinet available to them. ie the instrument operators are the ones doing the manual pipetting.
For example the versalab lab-in-a-case scenario.
The operator probably isn't going to have 1 case for the instrument, and another for a co-prep cabinet and fluids.
I may be wrong but doesn't seem very likely.
@B2H, yes there are now several other platforms that are fully automated, so just load the samples and press go.
This isn't the marketplace novacyt are targeting, they are going down the POC route. The main lab analyser market is crowded with the big boys, thermo Fisher, Roche, Abbott etc.
I think their marketing strategy is a good one. Whats required for covid is a testing platform that can be easily deployed anywhere, can be used by anyone with next to no training and gives high quality results in a very short timescale.
The big analysers are high volume but take about 4 hrs before the first results start coming off, fine for hospital routine screening but no use in an airport for example.
Plus the Q machines can test for a multitude of things, its not just a covid testing platform.
I travelled to Tanzania in 2019, yellow fever is endemic in this area of Africa and proof of vaccination etc was required before being allowed into the country , they were very stringent on checking this too.
So there's no reason why the q machines couldn't be deployed in these countries to help limit the spread of some very nasty diseases
I would love to know answer to that also and have also just asked a couple of people if they know of any others.
Thanks for that EXMEX. Really good info. Looks like there is a lot of ISO certification needed for this stuff.

Hi Poidster,
In terms of use with q16 / q32 instruments in a hospital lab:
Has co prep, - and the increased PCR results accuracy through elimination of manual pipetting, provided Novacyt with a USP - (Unique Selling Proposition).
Or have other instruments expected to be found in hospital labs also got automated pipetting facilities, and all we are doing is playing catch up?
Thanks for your regular observations and postings.
The most salient point about co prep automation is that it takes away the requirement for accurate pipetting on the end users part.
Novacyt have now removed the last barrier to make this a very reliable and efficient point of care testing platform.
With the minute volumes involved, accurate pipetting is an essential skill and tbf its not easy and requires a significant amount of skill and expertise to do it repeatedly, inaccurate pipetting will lead to erroneous results.
Now they have come up with a solution, with a very small footprint that means the q machines can be literally used by anyone with minimal training in any environment and still get good results. They have also said it can be used for other tests on their platform, probably just need to select a different program for different tests.
This truly is now a very sensitive and specific test that can be reliably deployed as a true POC platform. Yet again, Novacyt are well ahead of the curve. Other platforms currently in this space are single test. Novacyts can test multiple tests per run.
I'm again starting to feel optimistic for the future
By portable Troublesome it doesn't need to sit in the case , you take it to the field and they come to you , be it cattle or human , fish or frog, bird or bat blah blah.
Let's be clear here you need a generator /power source , not we can parachute you in and here is your lab in a box. So size doesn't matter ( :) ) as long as it is not massive.
Even 3/4 size, doesn't look like it would portable.
Regards "Vesalab portable" which IMO should be selling liking hot cakes, is there any evidence where it is being widely used ATM.
The support of the Ukrainian Govt is great but would like to see far more approvals cited.
As mentioned, Novacyt has developed quality integrated and flexible products which are suited for any future viral outbreaks and a must have for anyone who is serious about controlling spread by providing accurate early warning diagnostic systems.
