I apologise. 550,000.
@Zellman, the locals may have all clubbed together and purchased the 500,000 shares late yesterday afternoon with their donations from MATD. They know that they will easily double their money as they have signed their part of the paperwork. Sorry, I must stop daydreaming.
Doc83 - this link is the one I use to look at charts. I select both barcharts and candlesticks ;
https://www.barchart.com/stocks/quotes/MATD.LN/interactive-chart
Doc83 - I don't know how many people on here keep an eye on charts, but if you do this then you realise that we are simply currently sitting within an average trading range. As far as I'm concerned, nothing has changed since the special purpose designation was given by central government in early July. MB stated that July was lost due to the Mongolians going on holiday for the whole month, so it's now only 7 weeks or so that MATD have had to sort out the local bureaucratic formalities. We already know that agreements have been reached for the local herds people, so progress has been made in that respect. An RNS may drop at anytime, but I have my doubts that if it's favourable that the share price will instantly rerate to double digits and stay there. I think it will simply be an invitation for more wild price action movement in both directions.
Donation this is how the world works its just the same in this country if you want to build new houses you have to put in so many affordable to get planning permission no developer does this out of kindness of there hart
"How is donation for the whole community considered a bribe."
Goodness, your wheels really have fallen off!
The local government were/are responsible for allowing MATD to extract oil. A local government that is elected/supported by...the locals! So of course they are "donating" to the whole local community, to get them on side. Do you think MATD were doing this purely out of the goodness of their hearts?! If so, why this particular area of Mongolia and not another? Because... this area is very important to MATD and we needed the locals to play ball!
Deary deary, such basics.
As for how much we've spent, I don't recall they've ever put a hard figure on it, but if anyone can confirm I'd be grateful. But it could be 1p or £1 million, the point is we have paid to try and get the locals on our side. Now I know what I call that.
you call this big donations

What do you think the locals want . Pizza .
1 day cleanup cost barely £1k . Check out what other companies are doing for local communities
Master, you have completely lost the plot. The waste clean up project would not have been free. And as I stated, there have been other charitable donations (bribes) given to the locals.
Bribe: “dishonestly persuade (someone) to act in one's favour by a gift of money or other inducement.”
Investor33: this recent move lower is nothing to do with dodgy MMs. It is simply what happens when a piddly AIM company that makes zero money, and requires cash raises frequently, fails to deliver.
I’m beyond disappointed this has dragged on for so long but the hard facts are that this was 1.6p in November and saw a big rise because MB came out of hiding to say the MG/Mining Minister had told him in October that it was all fine and would be sorted within 1-3 months. But here we are, still unable to extract any oil. One could argue that to be up ~100% despite that, and a cash raise to boot, is not bad!
Sadly, this is drifting back to the raise price of 2.5p unless news drops very soon.
Doc. You call that helping locals by cleaning some rubbish. Give over.
So you rather mb waste millions on wages. 10mill up to now has been wasted in wages for sitting idle team.
Invest in local community and you won't have any opposition its simple as that . To make money you have to spend money. Think of it as a setup cost.
Bribery is when you pay individual but this is beneficial to everyone in the matad soum
Master: “MB just needs to donate some money to so many rejects that are happening in dorno province”
I’m guessing rejects should be projects? But you just be absolutely kidding me. We’ve always tried to bribe the locals with new wells, sponsoring local sports teams and some waste clearing shenanigans. All for nothing. To say we should now be donating more? Unless I’ve misunderstood your post?
Sorry to say it, but i said this weeks ago. Waiting to buy back in and do the same as last time. This time might get in lower though.
The pattern is there
So 1.6% down with a grand total of less than £4,000 worth of activity going on.... Welcome to the price action of MATD which is dictated by traders who are currently executing out their accumulation phase.
Take a look at a long term bar or candlestick chart, and you will see that we are firmly within a trading range of between 2.5/ 3p to 10p. Any favourable news will simply allow the traders ( including the MMs ) to offload the shares that they have accumulated at these prices on the next spike at anything between 5p to 10p, as has happened numerous times in the last 8 years or so. I intend to sell off nearly half my holding on the next spike, and then keep the rest for a LTH position, with maybe the possibility of coming back in when the price falls back yet again to the previous well established support levels. If there is a significant rerate which actually sticks, then at least I will still benefit - but it's far more likely that the same patterns of the last 8 years or so will keep repeating.
One thing I will agree on Brendan Stats TMK CEO boots on the ground type guy and spent a lot of his time overseeing their project in the Gobi is what MB should be aspiring to. Not sat in another country delivering nothing but crap interviews decimating the SP. So much looking like another wasted year 😡 GLA
The sad thing is PM could not attract PC who are next door to partner up, while TMK and Talon have JV agreement with PC.
We need someone who is good at negotiating. We could've had JV agreement and LP by now if right person was incharge
Other companies are ding well in Mongolia. Look at Australian companies . They are doing fantastic in Mongolia . Started after PM and now have found gas and are selling to the market.
We just have lazy CEO who has all the gear but has no idea how to run the company successfully.
Check TMK energy. Talon energy. They were operating while we were sat idle paying millions wages. These are the sort of CEO required to take company forward.
If you Google that you will get multiple site all extolling the virtues of investing in Mongolia. The almost unlimited natural resources, investor friendly environment, government grants to investors, ready market for products across the border in China. It's all bull's droppings - they obviously haven't spoken to any PM shareholders!
This conference is at local level . There can't be many foreign investors in Dorno province.
MB just needs to donate some money to so many rejects that are happening in dorno province. Like new roads
Nice find master82 - maybe completion of our formalities could be announced at this conference and used as an example of the development opportunities to come
I think there's been enough talk (the Mongolians seem to be masters at it) - it's time for some ACTION!
This is a perfect opportunity for MB to attend this conference and get locals on his side. This was posted by the local governor and no doubt he will be there.
Mongolia's long-term development policy "Vision-2050", the implementation of the medium-term target program "New Revival Policy" to solve the factors that limit development, ensuring multi-stakeholder participation in the development policy and plan of the Eastern region of Mongolia, the long-term development goals of the Eastern Province, In order to intensify the implementation of the policy document on the main direction of development of the Eastern Province, the "Eastern New Revival" investment conference will be held from September 23 to 25, 2023.

Mind you 70% of shareholders are institutions.
How long MG can mess around, cant be too long, however MB should stay in Mongolia to be able to deliver.
