Rather be in at 10p now than the last time we were at 10p march 2022. Popped up to the 20s then on less promising news (post well analysis anchois 2). Looking forward to a bounce prior to drill again.
Calm down dear! š¬
I made it quite clear in my post I was only throwing out another option. AP made it quite clear in the Q & A that there had been an offer for the whole company, and that it was dismissed immediately, as it wasnāt the best deal for shareholders/stakeholders.
Iām struggling a little to understand why youāre so tetchy, as your post is bit of a babble/rant. Anyway, feel free to filter my posts if you find them āpickingā (whatever that means š„“), and thank you for my āpickā š¤·š»āāļøš¤£
Whimax Your 10.57 post is not only appalling English but also the content adds absolutely nothing to what has already been covered.
Was there really a genuine bid? We know not.
If there was, whoever made it, they may have another target ? they may not ? so what?
The "offer" may have been 3 weeks ago. ?? It may have been 3 years ago even. It wasn't even serious enough for it to have been announced.
I don't come on here to criticize but to read useful (or even sometimes amusing) news and opinions, but one or two people on here seem to enjoy making unconstructive criticism and I believe enjoy "picking". So here is a pick for you !
Itās really NOT the most āsensible comment of the dayā tbh.
Why would Energean want to pay Ā£500m (lowball at 50p a share which AP wouldnāt accept anyway) when theyād still have to drill Anchois East and do flow tests etc, then , on top of that, foot the bill for the entire Capex of up to $850m, when they can just proceed as per the Farm In terms?
Thereās plenty pie for everyone under the current deal (well aside from the seller obviously lol) and it mitigates risk (what little there is) for both parties.
I have full boots, and my feet are wrinkly from walking around in them for too long. The market hates us being thrown another year out, and subject to another well. Whomever pays for it. I too have thought whether the cost is worth selling and getting in again later. Too late now. I agree with you, it should start moving back up now, and hopefully the buyers might include Energean in the market, or their insiders, advisors brokers or partners....wink
ShareBurro - most sensible comment so far Today. They have done the research/Due Diligence and know the score. IF there has been an offer as AP "says" then 30p+ could be attractive to them. If I phoned up Char's cleaner and suggested I make an offer, would that constitute an offer ? ... but yes , good possibility. I think the sp will move upwards now anyway. I'd be filling my boots, but already full of Char.
Brief dip and rebound below 10 could presage rebound. Maybe early to call but it's possible.
SB, if as you say you agree, then YOU show me the Maths, or at least say please.
Regardless of your poor manners, according to some analysts view, Chariot currently has a Quantitative Fair Value estimate of around 0.22 (IMO, Chariot should at least be at 0.18). It's Enterprise Value is toward 0.99.
Chariot is massively undervalued, and really, it was around late August this year that we saw their percentiles decline, and it is now very much oversold.
As for the rest, as they say DYOR...Over to you.
Unless the price stabilizes and starts moving back upwards towards real value, an argument might be made for EnerGean to try and take over the company alltogether. Shares must be close to a value that would be cheaper that ints committments under the deal? If that (and broker values hold true) what value cash would they have to pay ps? 0.40-0.60p? Plus Energean shares? Again, speculating like other posters here....
I agree but show us the Maths?
Whimax!
Your comments are logical and offer good insight, apologies for the typo, I meant 'Jilted Bride'
You can speculate until your blue in the face, even this mornings COP28 announcement can be thrown into the mix.
Whatever (and you can tell me that I am wishful thinking), but Chariot IMO is currently undervalued by over 60%, and even that number maybe an under estimation.
Probably a very long shot and/or pure speculation! Is it possible that one of the 'suitors' who had been accumulating large blocks of shares (along with their own backers), anticipating a takeove or a lucrative merger with Char, now find themselves in the position of the 'gilted bride' have been selling all their original holding which has spooked the market so bdly?? not forgetting the ever presence of the local 'neighbour' who is actively engaged in the same business as Char!
...or maybe just lemmings panicking each other and there's no one big seller ?
On the day of the RNS there were ~1200 trades totalling ~41M shares with a value ~GBP5M
Yesterday there were 129 trades totalling~4.5M shares with a value ~GBP475K
Another possibility (and Iām just chucking options out now) is that whoever āmade the approachā to purchase the entire company, which was dismissed out of hand by the Bod (as discussed in the Q & A) is the Seller?
If they built a stake, with the intention of making and offer, and that offer was dismissed, they may have another ātargetā in mind, and intend to try the same thing elsewhere?
We have no idea when that offer was made, or dismissed. It may have been 3 weeks ago when some first started to suspect someone was selling, and they are using the RNS volume to dump the rest?
As I say, just thinking out load.
Down currently ~26% on opening price of RNS, require ~35% increase to return to opening SP.. :-(
I Reckon
Whimax, I truly hope you are correct and for the sake of all invested here and yes I am invested since 2010, longer than most here, that's why I said I hope I am wrong, but how long will this weigh on the market it has to be cleared by next week or something else happening in the background as Chariot have strong assets. We are close to 50% down don't matter if it's not 50% we are close to that.
If anyone had told me this time last week that the share price would be at the current level this week I would have laughed and sent them to a doctor. This must be now one of the most undervalued stocks on the market and it looks that the bottom has been found and it has started to rise hopefully
Redeye,
It was all viable on prices well before gas went to the stratosphere and nearly back, so on that front I doubt the sales through Moroccan industries and possibly domestic at what are discounted national rates is really the issue, OK it does affect export gas, but that is unlikely to happen until the national needs are satisfied first, and that is some way off.
When natural gas is burned, it produces mostly carbon dioxide and water vapor -- the same substances emitted when humans exhale. Compared with some other fossil fuels, natural gas emits the least amount of carbon dioxide into the air when combusted -- making natural gas the cleanest burning fossil fuel of all.
The only ything that is " live" and could have an effect on us at this stage, is the Gas Sales.
. Are we getting really squeezed by the Mor Gov, and giving the gas away at next to nothing.
.
. Just a guess
The big issue here is that "The Deal" everyone keeps talking about is not crystalised until a number of other events have completed, if I understood it all correctly.
Therefore, at the moment, it is worthless, despite looking very good, IMO, if and when it does crystalise.
All the investors, including me, were expecting the whole thing to be concluded a long time ago, including permits, GSA, partner agreement, financing etc.. and whilst the BoD made progress, we are now looking at well into Q1 before it is all finalised.
I for one are happy to stick with it for now but there are some risks still to be considered.
ā Natural gas is a fossil fuel and its use produces greenhouse gases which are responsible for climate change..."
More lies from COP 28!!
Hope so Bubble.
It would still be a little concern that whatever reasons the "seller" wants to exit it does not inspire confidence and they will have had info (imo) that we wouldn't have? Seems like they been fkd over with promises of whatever by the BOD and are now unleashing fury.
