Taken from the RNS issued on the 15th April 2019:
"The Company is actively communicating with the Government with regards to the Exploitation Concession for Kallak North. It has been confirmed that the Kallak application is being prioritised, an acknowledgement by the Government that the Company has been waiting an excessive period of time for a decision. The Company expects, and it is reasonable to do so, that a decision will be taken, by the Government, before the summer."
Kurt Budge usually uses his words in a considered way, so this particular part of the RNS would be considered quite careless/reckless, unless of course he has some insight?
Here's hoping...
I don't think anyone on this BB believed that the vote yesterday had a direct effect on the Wulf. It was the political will behind it that will see this SP rise in the next few weeks. If it's all in hand let's see it.....
Where the government "reserved" opinion in yesterday's debate, it was because they asserted that they had the matter already in hand..maybe so...but now we know what was or is in hand. In which case ADF is right....i'ts all done and dusted and in the post...carrier pidgeon.
NN y'All. X
Eric Its been almost impossible to type on here today, thought my mouse needed a new battery but perhaps its universal. Malvern Spring Show tomorrow got a day off...must make sure I take my mac.
NIighty night. xx
.....pretence to concur, not pretense..... Don't know what is going on today. Sorry. Having a posting break for a while. Catch you soon Sooz. X
...No, I'm not surprised you are fed up..... Human malfunction. Lol. Tired out. Nighty. xx
.....becomes suffocated over time...... I pinged too early. Sorry. x
Just catching up now Sooz. I've seen your post from this morn. Yes, I think I know what you mean. It's unfortunately all about spin and deviations, instead of a focus on trying for the precise, simplistic solution. Sleight of hand in the attempt perhaps to push their little corner of self-perceived power. Meanwhile, the people who these politicians are supposedly elected to represent get the short straw and are pushed to one side in favour of what is eventually saturated deliberation, either nobody budging in any effort to complement the opposition, or a pretense to concur, genially maybe, then a sharp little twist of the knife. God forbid that all parties should ever actually agree on anything. Properly agree! If they did it would definitely be so very bendy, lol, disguised in such a way as to assure that the game wasn't given away. It's an evil machine the political circus, and although a new MP may begin with good intentions, I feel he or she just slowly becomes suffocated over by the jaw-dropping push and shove. And becomes a replicant. Then they are lost to us. No I'm not surprised you are fed up with certain things. Night night. xx
Because it will have zero effect on the Kallak application, that's why.
That would be your opinion but it's not the Government's opinion or the Rikstag's opinion. I imagine everyone with shares is pleased with the of outcome of this report, why wouldn't they be.
And here you can read what announcement means, 'tillkännagivande':
https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tillk%C3%A4nnagivande
... has misunderstood what happened today - nothing happened.
"The permit processes for Swedish mining are long and complicated and also spread across several authorities. This may mean that important investments will not be made. The permit processes should therefore be simplified and shortened to strengthen the Swedish mining and mineral industry. The Parliament, which addressed a call, a so-called announcement, thinks it would return to the government with concrete proposals on this. The Parliament in particular emphasizes the possibility of giving an authority, such as Sweden's geological survey (SGU), the overall responsibility for the entire permit process."
So, perhaps Sweden will implement a "one-stop-shop" for mining applications in 2022 or something (or maybe not, who knows), i.e. this is nothing that will have any effect on our application.
It always looks good to you Suzy. Invariably for no identifiable reason.
My week has been top notch, thanks.
I don't think anything retrospective will apply to our application because it is being "prepared" not processed...but in any event it all looks good to me and as Pocko said could be good for KS. Sorry you've had a bad week and hope your luck is about to change.
So BEM’s application will be subject to the proposed new process, which has not been ratified, by the way.
As I said, goal posts successfully moved and more hoops for BEM to jump through, when the decision could have been made any time in the past 3+ years?
There will be no priority given to long-standing applications. The process will be rebooted, as if the past six years never happened.
Where is the law hiding? Hasn’t been seen for years now. Sick joke.
Wish I had a fiver for every post on here over the years which asserted that we were on the brink of getting the green light, due to some sleight of hand, only to come to nothing.
the new system would have the SGU making the decision - who are already in favour of mining operations like us - so we will get there in the end! Put me down for 30 June. With a strong upward pressure up to that point.....
So the Swedes are talking about proposals to streamline the application process.
Smoke and mirrors.
The all pervading fear of upsetting the Sami and the greens has spawned this barmy idea. It is clear to me that this is simply a goalpost moving charade, which is designed to get the government off the hook for the past six years of wilful incompetence.
They are not proposing changes to the laws pertaining to mining applications which will continue to be the final arbiter.
Who remembers Damberg’s stating the law would be enough to decide the application?
This is another shameful delaying tactic.
When will Kurt wake up to this chicanery?
I can not believe people on here are buoyed by these talks.
Talking in Sweden is the national pastime, as long as it never leads to action.
This is in danger of being on the merry go round again if this is applied retrospectively to BEMs application.
Any hiccups and who are the final arbitrators, oh yeah, refer it back to the government.
This sorry saga needs closure now, and that means the spineless government doing what they get paid to do.
However if history is anything to go on this one is headed for the courts to make a ruling.
Saying that I could do with some positive news here, I've lost a few bob these last week's.
A sad indictment of their political process tintin that collective encouragement is needed but progress nevertheless. Lets see what impact it has over the next weeks. Put me down for 31st august approval , this never goes smoothly but more than happy to be proved wrong !
I doubt any new system will apply retrospectively to our case. But I suspect Baylon was waiting for political support from this to justify approving ours (and all the other) applications. Up to now he's been too scared on the Greens' reaction. He now has backing and can start doing his job (for a change).
Let's see what happens tomorrow and the next few weeks...
6.725 - 6.88
Very narrow for BEM and as usual the official spread very misleading.
But then that would make our application subject to yet another process? I agree in principle with you, but it’s now with the government, and the last thing we need is another body getting involved. BUT, going forward with KS, it could prove to be useful.
If that info is correct, as I'm sure it is we are practically home and dry. I hope that they give the authority to the SGU as was suggested during the discussions. They couldn't really knock back our permit as they sold us the concession in the first place.
Hopefully it's nearly time to start singing "Happy days are here again"
Thanks yet again for the info, you're a superstar.
7.7p to buy there, 6.9p here...and you can only buy 50k max.
Could be exciting - fresh start and all that.....
