TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SECURITIES

Whitbread PLC ("Whitbread") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 76 122/153 pence each on the London Stock Exchange and Multilateral Trading Facilities from Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc. Such purchase was effected pursuant to instructions issued by Whitbread on 25 April 2023, as announced on 25 April 2023:

Whitbread intends to cancel the purchased shares.
Since 25 April 2023, Whitbread has purchased 2,596,833 shares at a cost of £84,769,107.92.
Following settlement of the above transaction, Whitbread will hold 12,454,718 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 211,965,839 ordinary shares in issue.
