6th November 2009

Westminster Group Plc:

$2.72 million Extension Contract Award - Juba Airport

Westminster Group Plc ('Westminster' or 'the Group'), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, announces that it has just received an extension contract from the Government of Southern Sudan ("GOSS"for additional security at Juba International Airport, Southern Sudan.

The contract valued at $2.72 million USD is an extension of the $4.7million contract Westminster was awarded in 2008 to secure Juba International  Airport and which has been an ongoing project during 2009. The extension contract relates to an additional 6km of security fencing and perimeter detection systems together with Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems (UVSS), Automatic Number Plate Recognition systems (ANPR) Vehicle Control Barriers on entranceways, additional CCTV Surveillance and Solar Powered  Street Lighting around car parks.

The terms of contract are 100% payment of all goods (circa $2.5m) prior to shipping and the balance due on installationWestminster has in addition  recently received a payment of $1.3million USD from GOSS  relating to works previously undertaken and a further $200,000 payment is expected within the next two weeks. Work will commence on the project immediately.

In addition Westminster has secured a number of new contracts, valued close to $1million, during October from various customers around the world and for a wide range of technologies including a security system for the National Bank of Ethiopia, a perimeter detection system for Eastern Europe and a specialist fire prevention system for Corpus Christi College in CambridgeUK. These contracts are expected to be commenced in late 2009 and completed in full during 2010.

Commenting on the contract award Peter Fowler, Chief Executive of Westminster Group, said:

"I am delighted to be able to announce this latest contract award for Juba which underpins our faith in GOSS and their determination to rebuild the country after the 21 year civil war with the North as well as showing their belief in Westminster's ability and professionalism in supporting the reconstruction process during difficult period.

"I am also pleased that we are able to introduce solar powered street lighting to Juba and I am sure the benefits of no power infrastructure requirements, near zero running costs and environmentally efficient operation will lead to the expansion of this technology to the rest of the Capital in due course.

"The latest Contract award for Juba follows a successful order intake for October and brings our order intake in the year so far to £7.34million. We have an extremely healthy open quote bank and whilst the current economic climate may be causing some clients to take longer in the decision making process than anticipated, which may affect our short term outlook, we are confident of further important new contract wins in the near future."
