Westminster Group PLC03 September 2007 3rd September 2007 Westminster Group Plc: New contract win Perimeter Protection Systems for Global Energy Company in Yemen Westminster Group Plc ("Westminster" or "the Company"), the AIM listed supplierof system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection andsafety markets worldwide, announces a new contract award to supply theirspecialist perimeter detection system across a multi site operation of a globalenergy company operating in Yemen. The contract valued at US$900,000 was awarded to Westminster following aninternational tender process. The installation of specialist detection systemswill disrupt any attempted intrusion by climbing, cutting or lifting of theperimeter fencing around the sites, each of which is several kilometres inlength. Westminster's specialist perimeter detection system can be fitted to perimeterfencing structures or covertly buried below the ground, providing very highlevels of detection whilst advanced filtering technology eliminates most causesof false alerts. The system is capable of monitoring tens or even hundreds of kilometres ofperimeter or border fencing without the need for any 'in field' electronics,power supplies or analysers and yet can pinpoint the location of any incident towithin a few metres. The contract, which will be managed in conjunction with the company's new MiddleEast office, will commence immediately, with the installation expected to lastfor several months.
