Sales of shares in Close Brothers Group plc
In accordance with Listing Rule 10.4, Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that, since 1 June 2012, it has sold through the market 5,472,519 ordinary shares in Close Brothers Group plc, the UK listed specialist financial services group, realising net cash proceeds of £44.3m. The sales proceeds have been partly used to repay bank borrowings and partly held in cash for investment.
The shares sold were held in Caledonia's group statement of financial position at 31 March 2012 at a value of £43.0m and dividend income from them of £2.2m was included in its group statement of comprehensive income for the year ended 31 March 2012.
