Transactions in Own Shares

Caledonia Investments plc (the "Company") announces that it has today given an irrevocable instruction to J.P. Morgan Securities plc to purchase its ordinary shares during its forthcoming close period under the authority to purchase shares approved by shareholders on 25 July 2012. Any shares purchased will be cancelled.

The instruction is valid from 1 October 2012 to 26 November 2012, being the close period prior to the release on 27 November 2012 of the announcement of the Company's half-year results for the period ending 30 September 2012.

Any purchases will be effected within certain pre-set parameters and in accordance with both the Company's general authority to purchase its shares and Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules and any trading decisions will be made by J.P. Morgan Securities plc independently of, and uninfluenced by, the Company.

The Company confirms that it currently has no Company unpublished price sensitive information.
