TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS

In conformity with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, Alkane Energy plc notifies the market of the following:

Alkane Energy plc's issued share capital consists of 92,605,346 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 0.5p each in the Company with voting rights ("Ordinary Shares"). Alkane Energy plc does not hold Ordinary Shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Alkane Energy plc is 92,605,346 (the 'Figure'). 

The Figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Alkane Energy plc.
