In the past "when the grass was greener and we all believed in the hype" the frenzied mob would have hoovered up these bargain shares in a matter of weeks...

But those days are long gone now...

UNLESS and UNTIL Angus get their finger out and prove up the investment case... we (long suffering shareholders) and our battered share price is going NOWHERE but down!

No more jam tomorrow investments... just get on with the projects (we already paid for) you know, the ones you promised us would add significant shareholder value... and have so far cost us all dearly!

The only thing that will encourage me to invest more here are "ACTUAL PROVEN RESULTS!!!!" Hints, promises, jam tomorrow just doesn't do it for me anymore with this management and I'm sure MANY others feel the same way too.

I NEVER use stop losses. They simply do not work.

The only time we ever need them is in times of crisis when bad news or placings are unexpectedly released and the SP starts to crash. The problem is: whatever you set your stop loss at... when the market is in a tail spin... you'll end up seeing your shares sold at way lower than your stop loss (as Wierdwoolly has already pointed out)

So the main issue they were designed to protect - they fail at spectacularly!

I have kept my mouth shut here for the greater part of the last two years... rarely posting and "always" trying to keep the faith (so to speak) but there simply comes a time when the penny drops and you realise you've been taken for a ride. No point in pretending anymore.

Why don't I cut and run? A fair question. The reason is that this share is now one for the short term traders and will probably have a few spikes before a slow lingering death. I will cut and run on the next spike. From here on in it's only a matter of "how much" more I lose... sadly not if I will EVER see a profit here.

If I am wrong... then I will come back and apologise to you and everyone else unreservedly... but the alarm bells are now too deafening for me to ignore I'm afraid... and I am so p*ssed off with the BOD that I wanted to post a reality check on this board for anyone (God forbid) thinking of adding or investing for the first time here (unlesss you are day trading)

The new BOD IS the old BOD minus Vonk. Tideswell has been here all along and is responsible for most of the misery here so far. Lord Lucan? Don't get me started. All his experience seems to consist of is "how to make multiple companies go bankrupt" from what I've read.

All we can credit the board with so far:

1) Failure after failure
2) Delay after delay
3) Dilution after dilution
4) Promises promises PROMISES.

Sense really doesn't come into this unless our management? (laughs out loud!) FINALLY actually manage to deliver shareholder value... which so far seems to have eluded them entirely! Most of us are probably so far underwater there's no Earthly point in selling up and moving on.... but do we EVER expect to see a return on our investment here? Christ NO!

What serious professional business manager would ever countenance a strategy of buying "yet" another jam tomorrow proposition... when your team can barely manage the under-performing ones you already have?

I am past kidding myself that "any" of my AIM investments (!?!?) will ever recover. Management are seemingly 99% untrustworthy and stock market manipulation is rife. The only way I have ever made money here is via short term gains... long term trading simply does not work on AIM. anymore.. if you wait too long... companies just go bust... and apparently no one is to blame... certainly NEVER the management!

1) Company breaks promising news and shows potential... PI's invest.
2) Further news is delayed... SP drops
3) An issue arises... SP drops
4) Company announce a "necessary" share placing.... SP drops.
5) Institution that funded the placing sells off shares... SP drops.
5) Company FINALLY announces the good results we were all anticipating 12 months ago... SP rises for a day then drops.
6) Rinse and repeat!

The simple truth is that the management here need to get their act together (at long last) and serve up some positive news!

Any more issues or delays here, and a placing will not fix it. We might as well sell up and put it down to experience because by then - even "if" they manage to extract oil - the SP will match UKOG's and any enthusiasm for investment will have dried up entirely.

Aside from Vonk... they're just the same as before... but probably worse - given that we now have Lucan, who already has a string of failed companies to his name!

I'm invested (and underwater) here too... but "sincerely" wish I wasn't! :-(

I said it before in March when many folk were already getting "prematurely" excited IMHO:

A) Chill....
B) Go take a vacation...
C) Start a family!

You will have more than enough time before ANYTHING significant happens here IMHO!

I agree 100% RA... only our "wonderful" management NEVER do themselves or their shareholders any favours either... which is why we are in the doldrums awaiting yet more dilution (regardless of volume... it's still dilution!) and awaiting POSITIVE news which seems - as usual - to be taking a bl**dy eternity as ever!

Speaking as a "genuine" LTH, I don't know about "scaremongery" RRR... more like a healthy dose of "wake up and smell the roses" realism from where I'm sitting.

I'm so deep underwater here, there's no point whatsoever in my selling until our management perform a small miracle!

After all the bluster and failed optimism of December... here we are four months later... and at half the SP... still awaiting "the taps to be turned on!" Yeah right!!!!!!

I'll believe it when I see it :-(

This is the story of 99% of AIM companies IMHO:

"Great potential" undermined at each and every turn by "mediocre Management" (and that's putting it politely)

Nothing any LTH can do but sit tight and hope that one fine day our management pulls their finger out and fulfills on their promises! :-(

I admire your optimism Mickey... only I've heard the same comments for "several" years now... and still the SP stubbornly refuses to consistently rise.

Previous RNS's have hinted at work commencing on IOW... I now believe this is the intention and likely target for this new money...
I agree with CharleGeorge & 3cardbrag... should management focus not be on our current oil producing wells... and if not WHY NOT?!?!

This year I'll be wishing for two miracles:

1) We have some meaningful results by April/May "this year" which FINALLY prove the validity of at least one of our projects to The Market.

2) The SP gets above 3p and stays there for longer than a day or two.
