I agree with the "gambling" part... the trouble is: when you place a bet, you usually have a reasonable grasp of the odds. The only way to establish the odds on AIM is to "trust" the information you are being given by the BOD is factual and correct and - sadly - as we all know... there has been far too much back-sliding, manipulation and shenanigans going on here for anyone (market included) to have any faith left in what is now "said" by our BOD.

We now need "Deeds" - not words - to drive the SP back upward.

Seriously, if this punishment carries on much longer, then investment BB's will find more customers by advertising themselves as "therapy groups" for disenchanted PI's!

I keep reminding myself about "the law of averages" only even that principle seems to be broken by the market right now.

I'm with you on that plan :-D

I hoped to get out sooner... but - like all my investments on AIM (and "agreed" main market too) any solid investment case seems to have been kicked into the long grass together with my exit strategy on every front. problem is: most of my investments are now so far under water, there's little point selling out at such a huge loss. I just have to grin and bear it... no matter how much of a basket case the BOD turn out to be.

It certainly doesn't help when companies such as ANGS seem hell-bent on shooting themselves in the foot!!!!!!

I'm starting to wonder if the AIM market has actually forgotten how to RISE? All it seems to dothese days is DROP value off every share I own! Unless you're shorting (which I never do... more fool me!!!!) I can't understand how anyone is seeing investment growth investing in AIM right now? :-(

I share your frustration Yanis.

As you can probably gather I am deep underwater here too and not best pleased with the turn of events just after Christmas and those following that have undermined shareholder and market trust as well as decimating the SP.

The BOD have a lot of work to do restoring faith and encouraging LONG TERM investment here. At the moment all we are good for is target practice for day traders and shorters.

My problem with the gas acquisition is that it "already" sounds to me like the BOD are using this to steer shareholders attention away from Brockham and potentially manage disappointment. We have so far had no success with our current investments, so why entertain more using the same failed management team?

The gas investment may or may not come good "in time" but it will inevitably be fraught with many of the same delays and disasters as our other assets, and if (by then) the news on Brockham is bad... then this company is finished anyway IMHO. Nobody... BUT NOBODY could surely trust them if they report back with yet another failure.

I invested here for the Weald play. That is all I am interested in. And I honestly think the BOD should be focusing 100% right now on delivering from existing assets to prove their worth.

If you are "happy" with what has happened over the past three months... then you are clearly better informed than me. If these are the actions of a BOD we can all trust, then I am obviously a lousy judge of character... and I apologise and bow to your far better judgement ;-)

Lucan and co don't need PI's help at bashing the SP... they have already done that "expertly" themselves. ANGS couldn't even manage to keep the SP above the 4.25 entry "supposedly" offered as a sweetener to PI's. I don't doubt for a minute though that their city friends have profited by forward selling and shorting at our expense!

I'm simply airing my frustration at repeated failure, delay and dilution (and now let's add (gas acquisition) distraction to the mix.)

As shareholders we should never be afraid to DEBATE the merits of our investment: good or bad!

TBH, I think most LTH's (myself included) have given up looking & certainly investing any more money here until our BOD FINALLY release some positive news on the two Weald prospects we were sold into.

Gas deal news is a sideline distraction IMHO and won't cut it... (since despite what they say... it will INEVITABLY be prone to yet more disasters, delays and dilution - if it goes ahead).

GOOD news on the Weald or most of the sensible investors will simply file their existing "underwater" holdings away under "lessons learned" and come back in months or maybe even years...

Sadly, judging by Lucan's sterling performance for the first few months of his tenure so far... I personally do not hold out much hope. If he continues at the current rate, our SP will be worthless by Christmas!!!!!

The SP is holding on by a wing, a prayer and a failed promise, and until our BOD establish proof, extract oil and sell it on the open market... we're in for more of the same.

I thought at the end of last year, progress was imminent... and now look where we are: further away than ever it would seem!

When "most" invested here we were promised OIL... in The Weald...NOT GAS... OIL!!! Oil has (so far) evaded us... so... erm... why should we believe we will EVER see any gas?

Oh...hang on a minute.... we should BELIEVE Tidswell and his NEW chums - because they have so far failed to deliver on any of their previous promises?

1) Gas asset - no confirmed info and another jam tomorrow proposition = no value

2) Brockham flow test - no confirmed deadline and no confirmed flow = no value

3) 3 Million Placing = immediate dilution followed by an inevitable shorting strategy (given the current SP - how else will they make money?)

7-8p in your dreams!!!! More like 2-3p "immediately" unless Lucan pulls his finger out and PROVES up oil flow :-(

UKOG are "already" producing oil and look at their SP!

ANGS are producing diddly squat and seem likely to remain that way for some considerable time to come. Hence the woeful attempt at diversion into gas in the North... (yawn yawn... yeah right)

SP kicked into the very long grass and going nowhere fast IMHO :-(

I have NEVER... nor EVER intend to short a stock. Just thoroughly p*ssed off with all the failures of this company since I've been invested and sick of hearing traders try to BIG UP the SP so they can make a few quid at the expense of genuine investors.

By CONCRETE NEWS I mean Proof of Oil! Nothing more... nothing less will do now.... all else will be taken with a pinch of salt... as it should (given all the past shenanigans here).
