What "some" folk don't seem to realise is that we have NO near-term prospects that can enhance the SP.

The ONE asset we did have - that we all hoped Tidswell wouldn't botch - was Brockham... but... oh dear.... he's botched that one too!!!!

So now all we have are:

1) A gas plant with no current planning and no main line connection - that the previous owner abandoned! WHY? the sharp-minded among you may ask themselves... Do savvy businessmen really give away valuable assets for a £1 here in the UK!?!?! Mmmm let me think..... doh!

or 2) Another oil asset: Balcombe (needs planning also) which Tidswell has also (SADLY) had his mitts all over... which also (alarm bells already ringing) has a water issue (which Tidswell will no doubt tell us can be easily solved AGAIN.... when past experience NOW tells us he probably cannot!)

Fair enough Will, but I can give you an advance summary if you like... IMHO, it will go something like this:

"We are now well on our way to commencing first site work at our new and exciting Saltfleetby Gas project... blah, blah, blah, BLAH!"

How many times do this BOD need to dump on shareholders before they're found guilty in your book Will... only I seem to have lost count!

This BOD "already" have ZERO credibility and Zero trust by the market and most "rational-minded" shareholders.

There's nowhere left for them to hide!

I've been thinking the same thing since November last year and HEY PRESTO... they have managed to supply BAD news to shareholders over ad over and over again since that time. Safe to say it will not surprise anyone (except maybe yourself and DHC) that they will do so again!

I see the MM's and day traders are having their fun again:

Wide spread to reel in the suckers, then drop it back down again to make sure they can't sell out without taking a loss...

The only thing that will get this can of worms over 2p is stellar "independently verified" news... and I can't see where on Earth that is going to come from... certainly not from the dubious double act of Lucan and Tideswell.

Like yourself, I have been a fan of the Weald "story" for years now... BUT If - as we were told - The Kimmerage is the real deal.... why have they left it until last.... why have ANGS just apparently abandoned theirs?

All the Weald Oilers seem to have been mighty quiet for far too long IMHO. I don't think it unreasonable now to question the validity and integrity of those earlier claims.

I guess we'll all know the truth soon enough but I've not been impressed by any of the players so far - or how they have seemingly misled investors. You can hardly be jumping for joy about UKOG's SP right now either!?! I know I aren't :-(

I wouldn't be so sure HH does not need fracking too (to be commercial that is) Remember the Kim layer has only been tested for a short period and no independently verifiable figures have emerged as yet.

Conveniently UKOG are now pushing their Portland play, together with the "new" Isle of Wight promise for the future.... whilst
ANGS are pushing their own Balcombe play, together with the "new" Saltfleetby gas promise for the future...

Anyone spot a pattern emerging yet?

No Ocelot.... we are at , or very close to, the moment of maximum REALISM. Most PI's here have "finally" woken up and smelt the coffee ;-)

Here we go again.... more PI money blown away into the ether when delay, disaster and disillusionment "eventually" take hold!

Never mind: the day traders and MM's will "always" make a fast buck as the PR wagon rolls on into the next AIM stock.... sigh....

If they had something planned it will just be more "jam tomorrow" promises.

Their CREDIBILITY is f*ck*d IMHO.

WHO in the right mind can possibly trust a word they say!!!!!

IPO's on AIM need to adhere to certain accepted principles to succeed:

1) Strategy and ambition: They need to present clear and concise aims to convince shareholders to invest.
2) Progress: They need to show clear signs of progress as they continue to tick off their "original" goals.
3) Fiscal discipline: They need to prove that their strategy can be achieved to a prior outlined time and budget plan.
4) Communication: They need to keep shareholders appraised of good news and bad in a timely fashion.
5) They need to be credible and competent in approach and execution of their plans.

Sadly: ANGS have spectacularly FAILED on all 5!

1) Lidsey (meagre amounts of oil per day) = 0
2) Brockham (now "apparently" worthless and being sold off ) so value minus closure costs TO US = 0
3) Saltfleetby Gas Plant (No planning and still requires ground work and mains gas connection even "IF" it eventually turns out to be worth it) = 0 currently.
4) Balcombe (short flow test - no "independently verified" & confirmed long term results and a then again: mention of "water issues". No planning even submitted and months away from possible site works and testing) = 0

So what's Lucan going to pull out of his bag on the 11th do we think? I doubt he'll even bother to show!

The only "sweet spot" in the whole of this fiasco is that Tideswell owns plenty of worthless shares here too!

I've thought we were on the cusp of great news here - so many times - that I've forgotten how to get excited.... yawn... please... someone wake me when / if anything happens....zzzzzz

you know, I know & the entire world knows that this company is utterly uninvestable.

Currently it's day trader play-time - whilst MM's close their naked shorts - having already squeezed the last drop of life out of this basket case of a company.

Seems like the Weald Story turned out to be just that: a tall tale!

If you check back through my post history, you'll see that I have called out Tom Winnifrith on a few occasions in the past - questioning his insistence on this all being a scam by DL and others. I now realise just how wrong I was!

Quite clearly ANGS represent the Sheriff of Nottingham and TW was the real Robin Hood after all. Just a pity I didn't listen to him earlier... it would have saved me a lot of money!
