My thinking as follows:

The last placing was almost a year ago... and the current warrants will expire unless we have some stellar news to raise the SP above the 2p threshold by expiration date, in which case the BOD may think it prudent to raise further capital ahead of Havieron reporting?

If they get great prompt "positive" feedback from Newcrest, then I assume the SP will reflect this when shareholders and the market are RNS'd - in which case no need for a further placement as the warrants will fly off the shelf as the SP reflects the news.

That time of year again folks!

Have the last three RNS's pumped up the SP in advance before "another" placing?

Before I'm shot down in flames... I am invested here and will not be selling... but I was here well before Ernest Giles and have every right to be suspicious - especially since last year's placing came "before news" and came at the end of July!

Anyone know what we've got left in the bank... be happy to be proved wrong on my assumption here?

None of your supposedly short term catalysts are "short term"!

1) Brockham can only be sold with planning authority agreement and after change of ownership planning submission. Even if we have a buyer today - that's months away!

2) Balcombe application has not yet been submitted - flagged as late August but the BOD who have already said this may be delayed. Planning 4 month+ after that!

3) SP will only re-rate when we have concrete value adding news which is months away!

4) Lidsey was one of our BOD's earlier failures and produces very low volume... certainly not worthy of an SP re-rate - since they've never been able to get it to flow any more successfully - and evidently lack the skill to do this.

5) Another £1 more jam tomorrow deal to keep the salaries flowing!

Even YOU must have questioned the seismic drop in SP following the pacing - and the fact it DID NOT recover?!?!

I know alarm bells were ringing for me... and it would appear... others here too!

Knowing what we ALL know about this BOD.... NOTHING would surprise me.

Besides which the truth is already out there: Lucan arranged the funding through his own city contacts to replace Vonks placing... do you "really" think he would have sh*fated his own contacts with the "duster" bombshell, when oil and gas authority docs now reveal that the BOD knew testing was not even going to happen back in March!!!!!! They knew all along!

Otherwise Mr Lucan would have no friends left in city circles :-(

Just stating FACTS. Lucan says "forthcoming months" - I'm sure we've both been around AIM shares long enough to know what that means?

My reading of the situation is this: Those that bought into the placing at over 4p... were not stupid people. They would have known the situation in advance and have been enabled (by Lucan) to short all the way down to current levels - and will ALSO be enabled to close out on the next placing - probably around December / January time.

Let's see. Correct me if I'm proved wrong!

Not according to the last RNS from Lucan ... which I will quote you: "the Company's cash resources were presently sufficient to meet all reasonable liabilities in the forthcoming months."

Forthcoming MONTHS. Bearing in mind how long either Saltfleetby or Balcombe are going to take to get through planning... you can safely bank on the fact that we will see ANOTHER placing here before we see a sustained recovery in SP.

There's a world of difference between a stock being over-sold and subsequently recovering as a consequence of bad press / rumour and shorts closing: ie: IQE

...and here in ANGS, where we have PROVEN failure, no short to medium term optimism & a TOTAL lack of market and investor confidence...

Sadly... there has to be a reason for a sustained recovery IMHO

Whilst we may get news in two months... it might only be that planning has been submitted, or more likely in preparation for submission.

Its difficult to see what else it could be, given that they need FULL planning before they can do ANYTHING at Saltfleetby. They then need to complete testing... decide if it's commercial... and then connect to the main grid.... sadly 6 - 8 months away at the very least (and that's being generous).

Sam, without de-ramping... let's all at least try to be realistic here - after what has happened of late?

There's no point burying our heads in the sand and hoping new investors will pour their hard-earned into ANGS unless the BOD can at the very least offer something of concrete deliverable value... until they do that, I'm afraid nobody - new or old - can possibly trust them.

They shot themselves in the foot through p*ss poor management and it really is up to them now to dig themselves out.

As someone earlier suggested: Lucan and chums could put their "money where their mouth's are" and buy some shares here to send an encouraging signal to potential investors and LTH's? Not rocket science... but will they?

If they choose not to... then that's also a very clear signal of how much faith they themselves have in ANGS future - even at this low SP!

Watch how The Market values ANGS on Monday and going into Friday of next week.

They have been "relatively" generous today IMHO. My 1p prediction for close of play Friday still stands... No near term prospects and no trust left here anymore... Sad... but true!

Stupidly (hindsight is a wonderful thing) kept listening to the ramper's advice to hold strong and buy on the dips. Believing the BOD would eventually deliver on at least one of their objectives!

I sold out at a loss from my SIIP, but still holding in ISA's. No point selling for what little of value is left

Would you rather I "pretend" that all is well with ANGS - back up your ramping nonsense to encourage newbie investors so I can sell out at "slightly" less of a loss?

Honestly - aside from the moral dilemma of having to pat Tideswell and Lucan on the back to do this - it is far far too late to turn the tide here IMHO.

I am being realistic. I know ANGS are finished and my only reward will be in seeing our BOD thrown off their gravy train and out of a job!

They left Balcombe and targeted Brockham because that was "supposedly" their star asset. Now that that's proved a dud - like Lidsey before it - we are led to believe that Balcombe is such a promising prospect that they tested and abandoned it and haven't even got around to putting in planning yet?!?!

I guess the only consolation is that Tideswell has lost a lot of money here too... but Yanis may have a point... has he loaned out his holding (again) and is the one who's shorting right now?

Maybe you should email and ask them that question?

I work from home and have seven computers open on my desk - so it's easy for me to dip in and out - whilst working... what's your excuse?

1) Over 90% loss of SP value in under 6 months.
2) Diabolical customer relations with local community groups / activists & protestors, and above all: The County Council and Planning Department who will "ultimately" decide on any NEW planning applications.
3) Serial incompetence - failure to submit correct planning, failure to notify planning of changes / deviations from plan, well drill failures, over-optimistic analysis of well flow and potential returns, misinformation to shareholders.

And now we are expected to believe that they can STILL deliver next year ? What planet does our BOD live on?

Lucan replaced Vonk.... Everyone else is still the same and Tideswell orchestrated the coup to get rid of Vonk in the first place and is still a main shareholder in ANGS!

Who do you think calls the shots? You hardly need a degree to work that one out...
