Given we are on AIM it is "always" sensible to be cautious and not to get too carried away. However, given:
1) management have bought in higher than current SP
2) II's have also provided funding at a higher level
3) Recent high was 20.5p
4)Future potential / cash in bank

Even on AIM!!!!! I don't think 28-30p is excessive... In fact I think it is still a bargain to whoever might offer at that level.

Friday is NEVER a good day to buy on hype alone... unless "genuine" value adding news lands via RNS.

Granted, I think Lucan and chums have made a good start - considering the sh*t they have kicked in the faces of LTH's for the past 6 months... but they have a LONG way to go to restore confidence and belief in this company - as anything other than a day-traders darling for the time being... and the MM's will take FULL advantage of that!

I said 1p by close today and I freely admit I'm likely to be wrong... but I still would not invest at this level - unless another RNS lands and we see another "pump and dump" spike to ride roughshod into profit.

Tip for newbies: just wait until DoubleHeadeCoin and DegsyA turn up... they're a sure sign the day-trader hot money is loading up again! ;-)

I think any deal will need to be done sooner rather than later by "any" prospective bidder, as each additional proven resource adds more value to the company and therefore more cost to any bidder!

We have so much news in the pipeline at the moment... I think bidders will be eager to take out Amer asap - which may also result in them paying a decent premium?

Don't beat yourself up for selling... I have done the same thing with other shares several times before THE news landed we had all been waiting for for so long...

I've just added another 2k at 17p and have every confidence it is as guaranteed a safe bet as there ever is on AIM!

Minimum (with standard 40% premium) based on previous SP high puts any buy-out at a minimum of nearly 28p from here.

Even based on the previous high and with a standard 40%+ premium... the SP for a buy-out has to be a minimum: 28.7P

I think 30 - 35p more likely - unless other interested parties get involved, in which case 40P+ would not be unreasonable.

Whichever way you look at this... the SP is currently at a mega-discount. Day traders and LTH's alike should all benefit from these levels. I am still adding!

What today clearly demonstrates is just how UNDER VALUED Amer have been for a very very very long time!

I winced at your last post... I too remember those days all too well (painfully!). Seems that AIM is littered with love story shares that get ramped to high heaven only to crash back down to earth with far more of a BANG!

Well... I'm "still" here nursing my losses like many and just hoping (quietly this time around) that GGP's tie up with Newcrest is the real deal.

Got to say... I have been very impressed with the progress they have made and the way we have moved swiftly to proving up options at several prospects. I firmly believe this company will eventually create the value for shareholders - we were all promised - all just a case of when?

I said this Friday... because there's "usually" a Friday sell off. If it stays down today... it will inevitably go lower tomorrow. Monday probably the best buy back day.

Probably got my 1p call wrong... can't see it falling that low now... but who knows what's possible with the crooked AIM system in control?

Been a good run of late (I have to admit) but there's been a lot of day trader "hot money" pumped here of late... and I did say that this share would offer opportunities for the day traders.

On the plus side, I do give credit to the fact that Tideswell has (at least) been sidelined. Get rid of him for good!!!! and that would be another GREEN LIGHT for new investors IMHO. The BOD have also made a good start by investing themselves. If Lucan and others put their hands in THEIR pockets (granting themselves share options doesn't quite cut it!) and invested here, then AGAIN... it would be another positive signal to new investors... and we might see a "sustained" upward trend forming.

We certainly need SOMETHING - as concrete value-adding news is still a long long long way off!
