All hinges on sentiment now... since there's going to be no "genuine" short term drivers IMHO to move the SP significantly North of here and "more importantly" maintain it!

But... there will be spikes!

Honestly...I don't think we'll see 3p on Balcombe planning submission... we might if it "EVER" got proved up though!

Anything above 2p and I would sell the rest of my holding (at considerable loss) right now as I have no faith left in this BOD or this company to do anything other than delay and dilute. If the SP does nothing before the end of this year, then I'm fully sold up and out anyway, as I am mindful of Lucan's "funded for MONTHS to come" quote...

If the SP doesn't climb before a placement... it certainly won't after (another) one!!!!!!

A: By your methodology... we should therefore let everyone off Scot free and allow them to continue to do this to other investors over and over... I STRONGLY disagree!

Which leads me to answering your second question: If I were able to claim 90% of my losses, then I would happily share 50% of those with the legal team. If this were true for everyone involved, then I would expect the legal team to be handsomely paid and the investors to at least recoup a significant proportion of their losses, together with an important principle victory.

A: What has happened - has happened. The RNS's and documents (as I said) are in the public domain. Individuals on a BB discussing the merits of these documents (for and against) in no way jeapordise a pending court case. Accusations and opinions are just that. It is only when the case proceeds that it would be deemed inappropriate to discuss... and even then, only if the individuals discussing it are named in the proceedings.

I have already sold all my SIPP investment... and only retained that which was invested in my wife's ISA (much smaller)... Losses there are so deep (over 90%) that there seems little point selling now... I am awaiting one of Will's day trader spikes to enable me to drip feed sells into the market in the hope of getting more back... and I don't doubt there will be some along the way. Getting the SP back above my buy-in is another thing entirely... so for now it's just an exercise in loss reduction for me.

I "honestly" respect your choice. I agree 100%. If you are invested here and underwater, there is no point selling out just yet. Miracles do happen, and even if they don't... day trader spikes do... so it's the best bet to sit tight for now and keep everything crossed ;-)

Hopefully "food for thought" for anyone left here who remains sceptical that the NEW / OLD Bod have deliberately IMHO deceived investors.

The only plus side - from a legal point of view - is that "Everything" is already in the public domain... and therefore very VERY difficult to deny!

No signs of coming clean to the fact that Brockham DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION AT THIS POINT IN TIME TO EVEN TEST THE WELL!!!!!!!

We have to wait until June to get the following update:

"Further works on the BR-X4Z borehole have been completed and, following analysis of the results, it is the view of the Company that, on any conventional approach, it is extremely unlikely that commercial hydrocarbon flow can be established from the Kimmeridge layer at Brockham."

AND SURPRISE, SURPRISE, STILL NO CONFIRMATION THAT ANGS DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO EVEN TEST THE WELL!!!!!!!

We only "later" find this out by referencing to the Oil & gas authority documents. ANGS still haven't told the truth or given any explanation for why this information was not made available to shareholders!

Considering what he's put LTH's through since his arrival... I would strongly suggest that Lucan needs to start building bridges and what better way to start than a buy-in?

"honorably" standing back and expecting "us" to invest more whilst he takes the safe option of a generous salary and share benefits, will no longer cut it for the masses IMHO, as there's already far too much bad history of failure, dilution and downright deception here.

+ It gets worse: Tideswell - the main cause of most of it - is STILL on the payroll!

Lucan doesn't HAVE to invest here himself. But choosing not to invest, sends out a clear warning signal IMHO to already deeply sceptical investors.

Lucan has simply kicked shareholder value into the long grass (again - like the BOD before) and asked us to trust him on eventual delivery. Problem is: we've been hearing the same story of "wait and see" for so long the record's become scratched... and we NEVER seem to get to the end!

A Lucan / Hollis buy-in is the only signal I can see that would suggest things are REALLY changing here, but I do respect your alternative view... let's see what happens.

I agree with you, in principle, E_AL...

But since Lucan has wiped 90% off the share value since his arrival earlier this year... and given that he needs - not just - day traders, but actual LTH's!!!!!! to sustain this company to achieving its longer term goals... I therefore conclude that aligning himself with shareholders would send out a clear signal that we are not just being spoon-fed more jam tomorrow promises... and might be a good first step to restoring any kind of longer term faith in investing here.

As things stand... we will have the Will's of the world harvesting on the spikes and LTH's underwater looking to get out just as soon as is humanly possible... as for new blood "long-term" investors... Really? Nobody in the right mind would invest - leave their money and wait for Saltfleetby or Brockham results right NOW!!!!

I am reserving judgement for now.

The rampers are keen for us to believe that we are under NEW management, so I figure a good first start would be for Lucan and Hollis to align themselves with shareholders here. Two directors already have... but I feel that Lucan (in particular) and also Hollis should be the one's to put their OWN money where their mouths are - since it is their valuations and strategies we are supposed to now believe going forward...

If Lucan values Saltfleetby at 4p alone... then surely he would be very VERY keen to invest... No?

The longer they decline from buying-in... the longer I am minded to think that they have zero faith in the latest incarnation of the ANGS "story" and shareholders are just in for more of the same disaster and dilution management of old.

Not happening today by the looks of things... MM's widening the spread and raising the Ask... whilst the Bid stays put! Might climb if buy activity & volume increases.

Just need THAT RNS from Lucan to say he has "finally" aligned himself with shareholders and invested some of his own money here!

MM's naked shorting and holding back the SP below 2p so warrants expire. GGP "encouraged" to raise at a lower level... so MM's can then close out their short. Textbook.

At times...this BB needs some "sensible" balance I feel. Just in case a newbie stumbles here by accident and actually believes some of the b*ll ;-)

There will be spikes... Lucan "might" buy in... Balcombe "might" be sold. But what we all wish for and what we all end up getting - here on AIM - are two very very different things :-(

Good luck with that strategy. I know some who employed the same tactic when the SP was over 9p and said pretty much the same thing... and back then, anticipated news-flow was supposed to be much more promising...

Yes... very low volume. If this continues and no fresh news emerges (LUCAN Where's your Buy-IN!?!?!) then the MM's will take this down a peg again and keep on doing so until the BOD have something positive to shout about.

Matters not a jot what Lucan tells us the true value is here, if nothing can be proved up 'til next year and he isn't willing to put his money where his mouth is!

Yes, in fairness your suggestion would probably work better.

So long as I can reduce my losses I have no long-term allegiance here that's for sure. I would certainly take some profit back on any short-term spikes - as Will suggests.

Makes best sense right now if you can get your timing right. Pity it's just so bloody difficult to call!
