Looks like Lucky Lucan is now taking the tiresome "Steven Sanderson" approach to shareholder communications:

i.e: SAY NOTHING!

I would be a VERY rich investor if I had a £1 for every time I had heard that phrase - or some variant of it!

Sadly - as always - we are on AIM and at the mercy of the MM's = Anything goes!

I find it strange that - given current sentiment and Lucan's promise to foster better shareholder relations - he is not prioritizing Public Relations to change the current negative theme tune.

It seems from their Twitter page and Website that ANGS are completely oblivious to how damaging hostile tweet feedback & outdated / incorrect information will be viewed by potential new investors.

Maybe they've just given up? Certainly starting to look that way IMHO.

If ANGS IPO'd today, they would be glowing under a halo of fresh to market optimism and carrying an un-realistic price tag.

Unfortunately... instead they are judged by their past history and priced on their pathetic record of failure.

You may be on to something there... only has anyone considered that a dilution and share placing might have "already" been done... instead of Bonds... hence the "significant' drop today - and within a short space of time this will be reported via RNS?

Maybe 10p or thereabouts was the placing price and will underscore the bottom and enable the company to now move forward with all necessary funding in place?

Seen it happen before. Would not surprise me one bit.

Since Lucan suggests the company has enough money for "coming months" I read that to mean December (latest) before the pot needs replenishing.
If that is the case then no CEO will allow a funding deficit to occur - or to go to the wire, so discussions will already likely be taking place and a deal could be done as early as September to ensure a seamless transition.
Wrap the RNS placing "present" up with some Saltfleetby glitter and a Balcombe bow and maybe even a Lucan buy-in at 1p or thereabouts and salaries get paid well into 2020... a win win for our illustrious BOD...

To be fair, the market as a whole is taking a battering today... but ANGS will continue to slide unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat "and soon!"

Whilst I appreciate there may be no "immediate" good news to offer long suffering shareholders on operational progress... Lucan could

A) BUY SOME SHARES HIMSELF
and
B) Notify that Tideswell is leaving via the exit door... never to return.

This is not rocket science and would be viewed by investors and the market as a very positive sign that changes within the company are genuine and meaningful. Otherwise we might as well all just yawn and assume more of the same old sh*t to come!

Come on Lucan... we're STILL waiting???????????

I strongly suspect that most were enabled by the BOD and the MM's to advance sell and short their holdings (clearly the last placees were!!!!)

There's been a "significant" pull back in SP value on each and every placing so far. I think you'll find PI's here DO recognise that profits are not only made when the SP rises. It's not rocket science!

II's frequently end up sitting pretty at PI's expense - hence no need to challenge through the courts.

My reading of this discrepancy is that it is down to either:

A) Spectacularly inept management
or...
B) Deliberate deceit

And either way... in a court of law... this is not looking good for Lucan, Tideswell and chums!

I'm not a member of the action group, but they do have my full support in their quest.

I have tried legal redress several times in the past and know how difficult and costly it can be. If (as I suggested before) the lawyers were paid as a percentage of recouped losses on a no win no fee basis... then (given the info in the public domain) I think this has every chance of success and I might be willing to join then. I assume the action group will keep us informed?

I really have no intention to de-ramp either... just telling the truth based on factual evidence instead of blind optimism. If folk gave balanced views... I wouldn't feel the need to post a counter-argument.

I have no issue with your strategy - for instance - and might be inclined to gamble here, if I saw some meaningful gesture from management such as a Lucan buy-in or Tideswell outright sacking... and yes, either of these I honestly believe would draw a line in the sand and deliver a sustained rise. Failing that... YES... I would definitely have a better chance of regaining my losses here at a sub 1p buy-in... especially since this will inevitably be the new placing level if we have no meaningful value-adding news as we head towards the year end.

Easy for newcomers like yourself to say Will... you've already told us you are here simply to trade out on a spike.

Some LTH's are trying to send a message to the BOD in order to see a "sustained" re-evaluation of company assets. That will involve a significant shift in how shareholders have previously been treated and the start of an honest and open dialogue to draw a line under the dodgy practices of the past.

Don't you find it highly suspicious that within the OGA documents dated March 29th they state that "there will be no flow testing" at Brockham, and yet in April we hear from Hollis:

"Angus Energy (AIM: ANGS) is pleased to announce that the OGA has now issued formal consent for the forthcoming completion works at Brockham. This means that the start date of 12 April 2019 given in the timetable released in our announcement of 3 April 2019 is now a firm date."

Again, as late as June 3rd, we are "still" being referred to the April schedule and told:

"The further preparatory work aims to ensure the borehole is in optimum condition for TESTING, and to give the best possible communication between the well and the fracture system in the formation."

Clearly the BOD never had A) full permission, or B) Any intention whatsoever of TESTING Brockham... but that's exactly what we were told by RNS repeatedly in complete contradiction of the truth!?!?!?

I "might" buy some here and trade if the price is low enough that I feel there's a 90% chance of making back some of my losses, but as things stand... and at the current SP level... it's a 50/50 bet IMHO - heavily dependent on "immediate" good news... and since I've lost enough already, I don't dare risk anymore.

You're right Tideswell needs "removing" for good. That would certainly spike the SP upward!
As for my motivation... It's simple really: I (like many others) feel aggrieved by the past actions of this management (and yes... that especially includes share crash Lucan!) so when I read ramping nonsense on this board about how wonderful the "New" management are and how we all are going to be made rich via Saltfleetby and Balcombe I feel the need to voice a more realistic view.
