sbtwenty / lejjb,
A company share buy-back here is not rocket science and NOT going to do any harm whatsoever to the long term growth capability of the company by tying up their capital - because they don't need to use more than 1 - 2% to have the desired effect, and BUR have themselves suggested doing this as a logical & profitable short-term move to make.
Selling into rising demand is what the MMs do all day - every day... if bought company stock were sold back by BUR in a measured way, then it would have negligible impact, as the SP rose naturally to where we where before all this sorry mess started.
When a company sells off it's own stock - under other "unknown" circumstances - it might spook the market and have a negative effect on SP, but here... the reasons would already be well known and The Market and investors would already anticipate that this would happen over time anyway... so "again" no issue whatsoever.
The priority now should be to kill the shorters and bring this continued market manipulation to a swift close IMHO
GLA :-)
