Yes...okay.. VERY wishful & IMAGINATIVE thinking on my part (I know)...ha...ha. But I really have nothing else but "management incompetence" to explain the sh*t bin we currently find ourselves in :-(

I share your desperation. If... and it's a "BIG" IF... our management are competent, then the following could be true and might explain recent events a little better:

BOD instigate a placing, but placees are concerned that the price will not hold even after a discount. So they are allowed to forward sell and short, during which time RNS releases are ambiguous at best to cause panic and "assist" shorters to exit well below the 4.25 price tag.

Once their mates have bought back in... the BOD go back to positive RNS releases and the SP rises allowing the same city boys to further enhance their profit margins before selling out again. BOD have money in the bank to pay wages for another year - rinse and repeat - rinse and repeat - until they finally prove up their resources.

Just my honest opinion... the only other option is "truly incompetent management" and - against that, even a deceitful and sly BOD is a bonus! ;-)

It's precisely their game plan... shorts have clearly exited. De-rampers will vanish now and be replaced by rampers... so they can sell out again at a 5% - 10% profit.

Doesn't change anything for LTH's like myself as we still need news to take this back up significantly... but at least a line has been drawn in the sand until the next bombshell dropped by management... fingers crossed for competency from now on!!!!

Odds are still heavilly stacked against both of us I'm afraid - given the lessons we've already learned here - but who knows... I haven't sold out (yet) so at least some part of my brain must still harbour hope?

Shorts and (MM naked shorts) all closing IMHO. Hit the bottom... now we have to sit back and wait for POSITIVE news flow to get us anywhere near back to where we were at the start of the year.

All I need is a 400% increase to be back in small profit - I may be waiting a looooooooooooong loooooong time :-(

Looks IMHO as if the shorts may be closing out (MM's closing out their naked short too - is my best guess) Might see a "small" climb back in SP as the week progresses?

Then we're dependent on the BOD to actually deliver if we're ever going to see 5p again

And before asks Yes... I am aware SXX moved to main listing... however this company did start on AIM... where I first invested into it.

Signed. Its the only way PI's are ever going to see any improvement on AIM in months and years to come as shorting is utterly out of hand at the moment and will only get worse IMHO.

The MM's are (they always do!) & my best guess is that the shares issued were forward sold and / or loaned out to short - so the city boys who recently invested here have made money too.

Just the PI's getting shafted as usual then!

In the absence of any other "logical" explanation, I can only conclude that Lucan and Co are aiming to beat the world record in "destroying shareholder & company value over the shortest period of time on AIM!"

Sorry, but the gas field sounds too good to be true... therefore - bearing in mind this is a BUSINESS and business professionals (both buyers and sellers) are not prone to gestures of good will and charity - it probably IS!

No matter what anyone says: i.e: this site is too small and insignificantly profit making for the current owners to bother with... I just don't buy it. No company in the word gives away profit making investments to others for a nominal sum together with a cash sweetener because it's potential is to make too small a profit to be bothered with!

Let's all get real here... this is a scam and is going to cost shareholders dearly either now or later... and probably both!

This supposed "investment" needs nipping in the bud and the BOD need to focus on current assets!

Ha...ha... always good to laugh... it helps the hours, days, weeks and months pass as your investment vanishes right before your eyes ;-)

You've overseen a drop from 12p to 3p since January. Just what can this man achieve in a whole year I wonder?

Four possible outcomes as far as I can see:

1) As you say (Fred) Lucan and chums able to buy on the cheap after decimating the SP intentionally.
2) Gas prospect a red herring - money intended to keep the lights on due to yet more delays and technical issues with existing oil prospects.
3) Gas prospect IS genuine, but still to be used as a diversion tactic to keep the lights on once further delays and technical issues are RNS'd on existing oil prospects.
4) The BOD of ANGS come good FINALLY and actually deliver oil!

Of the 4 above.... sadly... 4 seems least likely, but is still the only way any of us long suffering shareholders are going to see a return here on our investment.

So long as Lucan is drawing his large salary (along with Tidswell) he's as guilty as any manager of this sh*te company in my book!

I've sat on my hands here until recently... not wanting to rock the boat or discourage newer "unsuspecting" investors from adding here (in the hope of enabling me to get out at least somewhere close to break even!) but "genuinely" I wouldn't wish this investment(?) on my worst enemy right now!

Until our BOD come clean and start earning their salary by ADDING VALUE at long last, I will continue to air my frustration. I have also used the contact form (sensible suggestion) and also encourage others to do so too.

I just worry that Tideswell might "yet" be making money with HIS OWN shareholding by allowing a third party to sell down and / or short them again... little else makes sense here currently unless the BOD are truly completely inept!

A history lesson on Mr B for those STILL in any doubt:

Mr B: 11th May: "I think it was my buying that made the price spike up. Not sure why the recent drop but happy with that as added 5M shares."

Mr B: 7.53am 29th May: "I'm just feeling that this is a great buying opportunity and don't understand all the moaning, The company wants a little more cash in the bank to get a deal done with no time/cash constraints and so gives a major shareholder a sweet deal on a tiny new issue of shares in ARS and a seat at the table, Side show to the main show but nice if you are looking to increase holdings here."

Mr B: Also 29th May at 20.13pm: "Ok hands up I have sold a big chunk of my holding here but now finished selling and will update with RNS."

Like I said: do not think anyone on here is going to do you any favours... they are only interested in themselves making more money!

I'm sure Mr B will be kind enough to let us all know when he's selling & or buying... yeah right... so long as he's doing the exact opposite at the same time.

It makes no difference between Lucan NOW or Vonk BEFORE as Tidswell has been - and continues to be IMHO - pulling the strings here!

Tideswell is to blame for the mess we're currently in... not only via his dodgy share trading episode (still unresolved) but also for his managerial operations on the ground - both "in the past" and "again" today.

I know he would rather sell shareholders the story that this is New management... but for all us long suffering PI's... it smells, looks and feels just like MORE OF THE SAME!
