Normally I'd be sceptical too but with 2shorters having reduced considerably in the last few weeks I including Astaris' 1% in a week I'm a bit more upbeat.

Their own words stated a D4E is one of the possible outcomes for the restructuring and that every option is being considered. The fact that shorts are reducing their positions quickly suggests some god news may be around the corner or not. I think that's what some people are suggesting.

Huzaifah I think they're saying it's going to take at least a few months to see the sp reach the levels they were at 3 years ago. And that's if there's good news.

Another reduction in shorts from Astaris yesterday of 0.11%. Now down to 7.87% total. That's almost 1% in a week. Its very interesting to see how they've held on for so long and now suddenly in a mad rush to close their position.

Massive number of sells around the 1330 mark (almost 900k shares) and the price stayed pretty much static. Was someone closing a short position at the same time to keep the price low? Hopefully we'll see another large reduction tomorrow at COP.

I'm not sure why if as you say there is an imminent dilution the shorts are beginning to close their positions. They've held on for pretty much a year so surely even with sky high interest borrowing rates you'd think they'd hold on for gold a little longer?

Or they've caught wind of some good news about to come out.
