The shorts were probably covering their positions but that's no bad thing. It means they're uncertain about the outcome for the coming week just as we are. It also means they believe there's a chance PFC will strike some kind of deal beneficial to shareholders. If Astaris was confident they wouldn't have reduced their holding by almost 1% on the eve of a possible dilution. In addition we wouldn't have seen the huge buys we did in the last 15 minutes. I don't think we'll strike gold this week but I do think things look a lot rosier than they did 5 months ago.

Apo, almost 2.7m shares bought in the last 13 minutes before close albeit offset with some big sells too. As you said they're either extremely brave or they must know something.

Well, let's see what happens after the weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if they've managed to negotiate another extension of some sort.

As I've said before I find it hard to believe that having held on for almost a year the shorts have decided to begin closing/reduce their positions on the eve of a dilution/insolvency because they've suddenly come to the conclusion their borrowing costs are too high.

Does that honestly make sense to you?

There's been a definite reduction of 0.11% from yesterday and today. I could have sworn it said Astaris but it must have been Tages who have gone below the 0.50% threshold.

Another 0.11% reduction by Astaris yesterday.

Every time PC mentions PFCs debt it seems to go up by 100m!

None yesterday which is no bad thing. Means the rise wasn't just due to a short reducing a holding.
