Pat, no one even knew they were holding talks until Monday let alone the details of what price is being negotiated. As I've said in a prior post senior managers in the same building are absolutely clueless about what is happening. The board unsurprisingly are trying to keep a tight lid on the details and as a consequence the market has no idea what price may be offered either. They're guessing just like the rest of us.

Justice/Jxp, what I believe is a fair value for WG is completely immaterial as is the valuations others have given which have ranged from 30p to £3. The only figure that matters is the one that Sidara (hopefully) offer and WG accept.

If Sidara offer a reasonable/fair price does it matter? I for one couldn't care less.

I think it's best we ignore posts on X, rumours of possible offers, hearsay about others aside from Sidara making an approach etc etc and wait for official news. At the very least no one should be buying or selling based purely on the above.

The TR1 from GS does mention that their holding is a securities lending position. These can be used to short or hedge stock.

All irrespective though if Sidara come through with a decent offer.

The office timings change somewhat during Ramadan but stuff still gets done. Plus, with the deadline on the 24th I'm sure they are prioritising the takeover.

I can't say for certain it's Apollo Mav but I'm sure there will be at least one other interested party in WG at these prices.

They've probably been in talks now approaching 2 weeks so it's possible something has been tentatively agreed.

I think the review that led to the SP crash in October will conclude soon and based on Gilmartins assessment below should give the SP a boost.

Probably in Sidaras interests to make an offer before that happens.
