I wouldn't be surprised if FCF is announced sooner than 2026. The Board/CEO has been badly embarrassed projecting FCF from Q4 2024 and they've probably been overly conservative in their FCF assessment. If that's really the case and its announced in the q2/3 updates we'll fly to £1+.

James, its worth remembering the WG debt for 2025 is projected to stay the same as 2024 when Sidara were looking to offer £2.30 and share.

No one is going to propose 55p per share for WG. It's a waste of time for the both the bidder and WG as they know a bid that low will never be accepted. Until the review is complete (which i assume will be completed as a matter of some urgency now to give the SP a boost) no bid will be forthcoming. If I had to guess a price of 90p - 1.10 will be offered.

Sidara, in the space of a few months could acquire a world class firm for more than 50% less than they had proposed. I don't know if an offer will come through but their interest must surely have been piqued due to the events of the last week.

People blame Cameron for Brexit but it would never have been voted for had it not been for Blair agreeing to the ridiculous EU open borders policy. Blame the people who make the decisions not the ones who flock here wanting to make a better life for themselves and their families.

Jxp, I'd incorrectly assumed that the company were being truthful when they stated that WG would be FCF positive by the end of 2024.

You said your target was 19p. Does that mean you'll take a long position if it hits that price?

PC, the fact that Barclays have taken on that risk (for however long and whatever clauses the agreement may stipulate) means that at least in the short term they don't see a potentially large decrease occurring in the value of the stock. That's a positive for investors in my view. If it wasn't for Balan getting the boot we may have seen a positive opening tomorrow morning as a result.

Thr CFO lying on his CV isn't a great look of course, but to suggest all the work he and his team have completed over the last 8 months is worthless is way wide of the mark. In big companies like WG CFOs have a large team of consultants, analysts and auditors to provide oversight and validation to their conclusions. Clearly something has gone wrong on this occasion with respect to the FCF guidance but to suggest it was all due to one person embellishing his CV is just not correct.

@Plumbs, we've just been notified the CFO has been lying about his qualifications. I think that trumps any TR1 from Barclays. Good news as it is.
