The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
If Newmont do takeover all the Newcrest operations in a few weeks they will be happy to have explorers in the area but I do not think that they will be wanting to pay a landlord.
So - just how much is eye watering or mouth watering?
Thank you Chuffchuff,
Still lots of 'Ifs' and for GGP 'Win, Win, Win shareholders' plenty to discuss here.
I am wondering what Newcrest share holders will be doing if they are left holding Newmont shares?
Maybe some Australians, in particular, would rather have a good leverage to their local Havieron gold/copper mine via GGP shares - which should soon be available on the OZ market.
Just a thought to add to yours.
All the best,
Yellowstuff
Wait a just a little bit longer and we will know the outcome of the Newmont/Newcrest talks.
(My guess is that Newmont becomes even more massive)
If so we will be a small part of a massive company.
Either way I am confident that Greatland is in excellent hands and whatever the outcome for Greatland it will be a
Win, Win, Win!

'As soon as the ASX listing is granted and the Australian public can buy shares in one of their own, I would 'expect' a lot of interest and a natural price rise due to an increased demand.'
I do think that when the shares are offered in Oz very clear and complete information will be provided describing every aspect of our mining, exploration, finances etc.
This clarity will be a big help to all of us.
All the best
The Conroy news and results are very encouraging.
Some people prefer to wait until the price rises before they buy.
Each to their own.
I reckon that 30% of 20,000,000 oz x $2000,00 comes to a lot even when divided by 30 years.
That's why I hold and buy more GGP shares.
I try to lead a simple life - and thank all the people who are busy working so hard at Havieron.
When GGP shares become available in Australia the prospectus will have to give a very clear and up to date picture of just what GGP own, present drilling and everything being discussed on this board.
New investors will also require a full indication of all aspects of GGP's plans for the future regarding Joint Ventures, takeovers, future of Telfer, etc.
Since being an explorer things have changed so much and this will be an opportunity to bring up to date information for all investors.
Something of a fresh start that we can look forward to.
Looking good.
A very good article and encouraging article - well worth a read.
'A climb back above the 10p line appears very possible, in anticipation of the declaration of its Feasibility Study due later this year.'
I have bought more GGP shares at these silly low prices which will be used for my next ISA allowance.
ISA's are more important than ever as the capital gains allowance will be lower next year.
Things could move very quickly and every bit helps!
Best of luck

'I ditched most of my Newcrest shares off the back of the bump when the takeover offer was announced.'
Maybe others will be doing the same when they realize that the leverage
with GGP/Havieron has more potential.
This is in no way investment advice - just something to consider.
Thank you. This is the sort of information being closely followed in Oz and things could really start looking up when GGP shares are easy to buy on the Australian market.
Oz is full of miners and well-informed people investing in mines, local interest is very important and will make a real difference.
Shareholders will want to keep an eagle eye on what is happening in exploration and mine development and they will be very well placed to follow every move made by GGP and Newcrest.
Just as Bamps, Dip and others do from a great distance!
All the best.
Wow!
Lets hope this keeps going.
All the best
These guys who talk about billions live in a separate world.
I will stick with 'WIN, WIN' - don't see how it could be better than that.
All the best.
Sorry Mr Baxter
Thanks Dip,
That was a great interview with Callum Bazter he was really helpful and happy to share his knowledge.
WELL worth a watch.
I think that yesterday there was some GGP buying in the afternoon from US and Canada which may continue today.
I have been to some gold sites in the US and Greatland is getting a small but useful mention for the first time as so many people are interested in Newmont.
I hope that this continues today.
All the best.
It is good to have GGP in the main stream news next to all the big companies.
Hopefully there will be people in the US and Canada this morning trying to work out just why GGP is so cheap.
So am I!
The way I see it the best leverage into the Havieron SUPER gold and copper mine is via GGP.
There are also loads of other GGP projects with great futures.
Which makes me a happy GGP share holder,
The first rule of investing is of course - Buy Low!
Mark,
I hope that was a copper penny that dropped - maybe worth a quid!
All the best
Gold looks good in sterling too.
Up 16.90% in the last 12 months! Should help gold miners.
No idea what happens next.i

Chuffchuff,
I know the feeling about first posts.
Below is my first post.
I had bought shares earlier and tend to avoid chat sites.
I posted because we had just received really GREAT news about GGP and because Paddy and others had been so helpful here.
This site has its ups and down but well worth reading and I hope that you will also contribute.
There will be plenty more good news to keep your eyes on over the next few months - and years.

My first post is to give BIG thanks to so many people on this site, you have done a great job,
I bought my shares years ago so am very happy.
Years ago I spent time on gold mine shares and did very well but its a very risky and nerve racking business so I stopped.
GGP is my only holding.
I shall keep an eye on the gold price now!
Thanks again Paddy and all.
