And was there any recent news on the length of the tunnel?
A bit of good news on that one would bring some cheer.
What and when was the most recent update?
Thank you.
Gold exploration, small mines and large mines are never easy places to invest and share prices are liable to large and rapid price changes.
They are a tricky place to invest, always have been, always will be.
If you don’t know that before you invest you will find out at some point.
Fortunes are made and lost even with the best of companies.
GGP and Newcrest are the best of companies, they give out information but they do not decide the share price.
I have mentioned this several times,
All will be well,

Gold exploration, small mines and large mines are never easy places to invest and share prices are liable to large and rapid price changes. Many are in politically problematic countries, there can be accidents, floods, strikes, price of gold and no end of other difficulties.
Gold mines attract all sorts of investors and there are plenty of advisers, experts and tipsters who make a living with newsletters and the media.
Gold itself is very complicated as it is often seen as international money which can fluctuate by large amounts and international events. There are those who say that the market is rigged, you can google GATA - Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee
.As a long term investment gold itself has always provided a safe haven investment and holding some can allow people to make riskier investments.
There are actually only two people in the world who truly understand gold and they both work for the US Federal Reserve.
The only problem is that they can never agree.
Yellowstuff – (hopefully fun while you wait)
Never mind the Price – feel the Volume
Good thinking Coinstarx,
The 3 Month Greatland Gold Share Graph above is shown for a good reason and can be a big help.
It indicates that there may well be a price movement but not the direction.
Last week -
Wednesday – volume - 11,000,000
Thursday – volume - 59,000,000
Friday – volume - 78,000,000
With news next week some big companies could be making deals of 10,000,000 shares a pop.
We will soon know,
Good luck to all.
Yup, bought very early and 20p was my dream price.
Then I had another dream... still got it!
Spymaster
Many thanks - not long to wait, but it might seem like an age!
Best wishes for the weekend.
Bit sad for those who had to sell recently, gold shares are very tricky and a place where fortunes are made and lost. Almost anything can happen.
Sometimes the price moves up a bit just before a great leap...
Profits are nice to have...
All the best whatever you do.

Paddy will be pleased to have this posted again - the words were from an 'Expert Expert' and speak very clearly, they should bring cheer to all shareholders.
'The Havieron deposit in north Western Australia is a beautiful deposit with amazing world-class textures. This is a relatively new discovery and much of the geological detail hasn’t reached the public yet, but when it does, people will be seriously impressed. Full kudos to the drillers who have managed to provide consistently oriented core over hole lengths approaching 2 km (˜ 1 mi).'
Yellowstuff
Thank you Paddy, very, very interesting.
I think you have let the cat out of the bag... it can go where it likes.
I will buy more of the bag.
Yellowstuff
I would say that everyone buying at 16p or below can look forward to some very good gains.
Yellowstuff
Just to say hello - sounds good with Conroy.
Bought shares some here months ago - and some more early this morning.
Best regards,
Yellowstuff
Note on Asia - some people in Hong Kong were aware of GGP in the very early days.
Yellowstuff
There are many types of GGP 'shareholders', large , small etc. etc., who ALL want the company to do well and the share price to rise!
(That would be true even if the share was priced at 50p today!)
We have our holdings and can look forward to more information next week,
Results are invariably good - and things have never looked better,
Bon chance,
Yellowstuff
Chartarex,
Thanks, that is very clear and very fair. No one should shout or scream at you.
£1,170,000,000 (£1.170bn.)
So far so good, with lots to look forward.
Even double would be nice.

Dodgemeister,
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
There sure have been ups and downs since the penny days but that is what gold exploration is all about.
For me the big event was seeing the JV with Newcrest.
One day people will be talking about how they were able to bye these shares for under 20 p.
There will still be some ups and downs to come -
but things have never looked better than now.
Yellowstuff
Don't panic probably just a typo.
Perhaps in should read 'ounces'!
Hello Doors and all,
I first bought for pennies and have just added all up all my recent top ups under 20p - it comes to a lot!
My reasons for topping up are,
I am dead sure it will get back to 25p - and beyond...
If some big money people are buying I should take advantage too,
I hope that by buying it will help the share price a bit.
Things have never looked so good.
Time will tell for all of us,
Yellowstuff
Everyonesawinner,
Sounds like you have done well and are in a very good position, like all shareholders you have three choices.
Sell, hold, or buy.
For people who don't hold shares it is different.
Somehow you will make your own decision and I hope you come out a winner.
Reading between the 'green' lines and despite the current low share price, I think that the future is bright
Yellowstuff
What is happening to the gold price?
Gone down $64 in Asia on my screen.
