In all seriousness - and I don't know about these matters - how valid is the company's rational behind the consolidation, ie that it will make the shares more attractive to investors? Surely, any investor who is sophisticated, or at least prudent, enough will look at the fundamentals behind the share and the altitude on which it is priced should be pretty much irrelevant? And why did they go for 1:100 and not just 1:10? Rather than making the shares more attractive, to me it would just smack of artificiality and actually undermine the credibility of the company and its shares. I am sure there are others of you who do know more about these things.

Hello, Eck. There have been many times over the past year or more that I have been so utterly bored with this share that I've said to myself, "Oh I don't think I'll bother even looking at this any more". Imagine if I'd done that and then, some time after today, come back Rip Van Winkle-like!" Also, it did fleetingly cross my mind to see if Barclays had got their systems together or if I could successfully sell my 6m shares at 8.00, instead of my 60,000!!

I've experienced a couple of consolidations on AIM and in both cases they were followed by an instant and sustained fall in the share price. Maybe two isn't a statistically valid sample and other folk can point to examples of quite the opposite effect.

As I pointed out yesterday, the NP board meets on 11 December. Unless the members of the board are "meetingoholics", they surely to God aren't going to want to reconvene to discuss just the SGZ application during the Xmas period.
