At risk of sounding like a Moaning Minnie, I do fail to get enthused by the "fill yer boots" line of thought. I have seen this time and again with AIM shares. But there comes a point at which one really does have to say "I'm done with averaging down. It would be nice to see even a teeny weeny return on the shares I already hold".

I have been away from here while on holiday There are far better things to be doing. But I've just checked back. I do have to say that I am now finding this share to be somewhat absurd. I am now approaching eight years as a holder here and have an average of "only" about 50p. But after the Living Death of those eight years, I am now coming to the sad conclusion that, even with a mine in full production, I am NEVER going to break even on this share. Planning consent did nothing for us. Funding did nothing for us. So I cannot have any confidence that Production will do anything for us either. It's a terrible conclusion to come to, but I'm now resigned to believing that Mr Shylock may have been right all along, and that "Mr Market" doesn't give a stuff about SGZ.

But this did not fool the rapier-like mind of Miss Wemyss! Well, this has led to all sorts of speculation at the Methodist chapel. Can it truly be that the prospects of Canal 1 are now so splendid that work will commence on Canal 2? Will Mark 1 now see a return on his sixpence, about which he was in renewed dispute with Mark 2 at the weekend? The servants are listening at the keyholes for word from Sir Jasper! When will it come?

Excitement in the village once again. It seems that Mr Rockhead has chanced upon the replacement for Champion the Wonder Horse. Although no beast could truly replace our dear Champion. And mixed with the excitement is just a little worry about how we are possibly going to cope with the existence of a Mark 3, alongside Mark 1 and Mark 2. If things get much worse we could all find ourselves in the private asylum alongside Lady Hermione.

Mark 1 and Mark 2 were going at each other again at the gates of the estate last night. And Mark 2 brought several of his cronies from The Old Cock Inn with him to shout at Mark 1. Most unpleasant. No wonder Lady Hermione ended up in the private asylum.

Good morrow, Mr Rockhead. The canal barge is greatly exercising the minds of we humble folk in the village. After the excitement of Miss Wemyss's Away Day to Tyndrum we had all hoped that we too might share in this great adventure. We understood that the barge was awaiting the completion of its seaworthiness certificate and then the excitement would begin anew. We also understood that Sir Jasper was hoping to raise enough money to buy a replacement for Champion the Wonder Horse, who these days divides his time between chomping in the field behind Mr Patel's shop and water skiing duties. On these matters we have heard no more. So my dear father, Mr Keeper, sits enjoying a pipe or two while he awaits the need to work the lock. He also tells me that we here in South Worcestershire are frustratingly starved of any communication reaching us from London and the South East. We must send them A Message.

So, it seems that if and when SGZ issues an RNS announcing every single last penny of funding has been obtained, at the speed LSE is now capable of opening every page on its website we should get to see the news about two-and-a-half weeks later.

It is not the place of we humble folk to comment on the affairs of Our Betters. However, we wonder what has happened about Sir Jasper's Scottish venture now that the excitement of Miss Wemyss's visit has abated.

We humble folk from the village, who know our place, are pleased to see the safe return of the Hon. Basil (Mark 1) from his adventure into "extreme sports". Clearly, dear Champion the Wonder Horse must have fugitted with all his equine might.
