The US has remained a global leader because the majority of the world allow that to happen. It won't be the case if they bite hands that feed them. It's been convenient to supply and support the US but if they are trusted less than alternatives then alternatives will be elevated.

China stand to benefit most but we'll see new alliances come from the next 4 years. Trump is an old man desperate to make his mark. It's destined for disaster as so much crazy cannot continue for long before the world turns there back.

Only in Hollywood are America great. The reality is very different.

Neighbours will be looking for new markets. Canada will diversify their oil options by building pipelines. New trade routes like those China has been building will dominate the trump era as friends move away from supplying the US.

I suspect that the US will become very isolated. People will make choices. It's ultimately going to cost the US global trade as new routes to new markets previously occupied by the US are exploited by other nations.

I don't buy from the US and haven't since Trump 1, Trump 2 will be a bigger disaster because he's a desperate old man with little time left to make his mark on the world. Unfortunately it will be a skid mark that leads to US ruin. Like Brexit, people voted for this. I think that it's going to take 2-3 years before this achieves a representative value. That is representative of the commercial success of the business. I am expecting some corporate activity in that time which allows for a more realistic valuation. Without it I can't see London recovering to achieve anything realistic.

That said £8-10 is attainable but beyond is well out of reach in the period with any level of commercial success. The LSE structure is just not success based, commercial success at least.

I have only been on Ouigo and only first class which is very comfortable. It's normally around one third more than standard class. Off peak like this evening it will be around €40 with up to 3 large bags.

If ave first class isn't as good they won't compete, as simple as that.

It's very different here in Spain. I think that those with domestic routes in Spain are going to find it very tough to compete. 4 high speed operators in a price war. Vueling and Iberia will be feeling the heat
