That's not true at all Nightmarewalking. If you must know the story of my portfolio in recent weeks then I can give you the facts. You could just ask why I sold at a loss rather than guess.

I was holding ARB and DDDD alongside each other. I sold DDDD for a loss yes (around 6% loss) - to buy RMM which is up around 20% since I bought my shares, was 25% until the dip. I sold some ARB at a loss to reduce my exposure to crypto and put the money into DDDD at a lower price than I sold for (about 7% less). Meanwhile ARB is currently lower than I sold the loss for. So I think I have done quite well out of it.

I want to reduce my exposure to crypto further as it was a mistake to put as much into it as I did (it was 21% of my portfolio before the reduction). And yes that might mean selling more ARB at a loss. Feel free to attack me for it when I do however. I think the company is over valued based on hype and I bought in too high.

What I wanted to do was take money out of ARB for RMM but ARB was tanking at the time and I figured it would rebound. Meanwhile DDDD was flat so I figured I may as well "borrow" the money from there and put the ARB cash there once I could get out. Certainly worked out better than selling ARB for a 30% loss just to avoid people like you accusing me of trading DDDD. I could have waited to invest in RMM but I didn't want to miss price rises during the re-rate.

Sometimes you have to make tough decisions for your portfolio. Holding losses is no good if you think they will turn into bigger losses. I don't regret any sale I've made recently.

This drop makes no sense. I thought I was getting a great price at 110p the past couple of days. I wish I could add more at this price.

I'm glad the dip was bought, was worried for a minute that the traders were getting their wish of selling and buying back 20% cheaper. It seems we have strong support around this level.

Sorry but I can only comment on the share price at the time of making a post. It might be 10p up next week, maybe we should talk about that instead of your 1p up 5 minutes ago. If you look at the price against my post it was showing 177.5p which was down at the time.

Based on what? The share price has fallen. Usually indicative of more sells than buys.

@HarChris Yeah sadly I over invested in ARB and didn't want to sell it all at a loss so I only took out 40% hoping the rest will go higher and recover those losses. But even that I'm not sure of any more. Adjusted for loss I need 248p to break even. This is why I had to sell my 4D shares a couple of weeks ago. Wanted to get money into copper (RMM) but didn't want to sell ARB for what were even bigger losses at the time so I sold 4D temporarily. I figured 4D won't be going far in the next few weeks. Worked out well as I've bought back in at a lower price than I sold, which has wiped out most of the loss I took selling these. Still only got half the shares I had but I will top up once I reduce my ARB exposure further. Need bitcoin to go on a run so I can get out of ARB.

I'm totally on board with crypto and blockchain but these ****coins are going to bring the end of this bull cycle and then 2024 will be the time to load up on crypto again.

Anyway that's my last post on the crypto subject.

Good when it works skier1. You could have just as quickly lost 500 quid. I think the crypto bubble will pop soon. Lots of money flowing into ****coins like DOGE and when the dump happens the losses are going to be apocalyptic and it may have knock on effects for other coins. This crypto bull cycle will end at some point and you don't want to be in it when it happens.

As a share holder in a bitcoin miner (ARB) I am concerned about my investment and took some out last week at a loss and placed it into DDDD this week. I am thinking about decreasing my holding there even further and my money will come here as I've more faith in DDDD to multi bag this year than any crypto investments (miners or coins). The time to invest in this crypto bull cycle has passed - now is a bad entry point in my opinion.

You will have 1k shares. But the value of each share will be 100 times more so the total value is the same.

Volume today is a lot lower than it has been. I wonder if that explains why we are down. Clearly some people are getting disappointed that the price isn't moving up in a straight line. Even I thought we'd be pushing for 0.7 this week but that's no reason to sell.

I prefer 5% days. More sticky investors. In my experience when a share rises 40% it is followed by a big drop and people get spiked.

Why is this board full of ****? It's difficult to find anything worth reading on here. I'm sat on a 25% loss and starting to wish I'd sold on Friday.

These shares are a bargain at this price. I'm back in today as money cleared from elsewhere. I want more but unfortunately need to wait for further funds. I was expecting to have to pay 120p to get back in, I don't get why it's staying so low.

@K3VMC Are you seriously advising people to set stop losses on a volatile share? ARB has been known to drop 20% on opening and then claw it all back within minutes.

I bet if you go back and look at the people who were posting that in March and April you'll find they're no longer posting here because they sold. First rule of investing: Never listen to what a ramper says. Same with derampers. Always do your own research. I agree this is a risky investment. Bitcoin could be anywhere between 10k and 200k in January 2022. That's why it's so hard to value this company.

What happened? Seems to have gapped down.

Supply and demand will dictate the price of copper. What we know is that there is crazy demand for copper right now due to the Covid recovery and green transformation and that isn't going to suddenly stop unless another black swan event occurs.

Mcap won't rise if demand for the shares isn't there.

I think these results were priced in. They aren't better or worse than expected.

You're right @skier1. Regardless of what we think will happen with the share price we should try to remain positive to help attract more investors. I can't think of a better pharma company to invest in right now. The "multiple shots on goal" thing is all the confidence you need.
