Thanks for clearing that up Hexam. I was concerned as I had hear elsewhere that the miners are very over due to not having revenue in the traditional way (selling what they produce). And I figured that might help explain the collapse we are seeing. But if that isn't the case then I can only put it down to sentiment and rainbow chasing.

The share price concerns me because even though I sold some for a 15% loss a few weeks ago I am still sat on a big loss with the rest. Must be about 35% now. I do agree that value does come to shares eventually and the strong profits should help that value be realised. But my biggest fear isn't necessarily the rainbow chasers heading to alt coins and trading this stock up and down. It's bitcoin itself. This bull cycle will end at some point this year and crypto will go out of fashion until 2024 as happened after 2017. This stock will plummet at that point and we'll be sat on bigger losses than we currently are. I could well be wrong and bitcoin won't crash like that but it has in the past. People predicting £10 per share by the end of this year never take that into account.

I've learnt this stock is not for me. It's too volatile. When I bought into it, it was roughly following bitcoin movements in the 200-250p range and was quite predictable. Now it goes up and down based on traders, falls when bitcoin falls but doesn't rise when bitcoin rises. I'm happy to admit the stock isn't for me but I can't exit at these levels. Hopefully the price will rise at the end of the month when all the IIs buy in and I'll have a chance to get out. Good luck to all who have diamond hands and decide to hold longterm.

@Hexam: So bitcoin does count as earnings even if they don't sell it? I was starting to think it might be more like an asset. Like if a gold miner didn't sell any of the gold it produces.

I find it hard to be optimistic about this industry any more. It seems to be too many private investors chasing rainbows and right now that is alt coins. Lots of people trading this share too which is annoying. Just look at today's chart. It will look similar tomorrow. I'm going to sell and move on once I get back within a 15% loss window (189p) but I fear we might not see those highs again anytime soon. The loss is too much right now. Hopefully we get some NASDAQ news soon so I can use that to exit.

What is a good PE ratio for ARB though? Technically ARB doesn't earn anything because it doesn't sell any bitcoin. It's an asset on their books. A volatile asset as well.

The share price was 230p when bitcoin was at these levels in March.

@maxgem Have you not seen the pattern? You can't buy now because the day traders are buying in now ready for the morning spike tomorrow. Then they will sell, short the stock and repeat in the afternoon. Been happening for a while.

I wouldn't really call +3% to +1% a pump and dump rise but it is disappointing to see that I could have got 0.2% more shares from my buy had I waited an hour and a half. The pump and dumpers are too busy with KOD right now.

Managed to scramble some cash together to increase my holding by 10%. Wish I could buy more.

I too think this might be the last chance to buy under £1.

So what changed, now that you believe this is "dead in the water"? Are you still holding? Seems odd that you would talk down a share you're planning to hold until 3p. Is your real name Sam?

You would need a lot of people selling losses for this to fall to 50. I doubt it will breach the support at 90, but who knows. Many thought it wouldn't fall below the director buy price of 110p and many thought NASDAQ would make the price go up rather than plummet. People were saying this company is undervalued compared to its peers when the price was 150p, yet here we are at 94p. It looks like a bargain but without demand for shares the price won't reach the value people want. That's the important bit, and what will indeed stop the decline. People seeing the value. Good PR and good news from 4D.

RacingCyclist - I consider you one of the better posters on this board - but come on no one can answer all of those questions.

Markets are forward looking. I'd be more worried about the price of a bitcoin in May 2022 than December 2021. I'm sure you know what happens to bitcoin at the end of the bull run.

As for PE ratio - this is another important variable. This industry is too new and is still finding its correct PE level.

You also need more than fundamentals for the share price to rise. If people rather pump their money into DOGE coin or MOON coin or whatever instead of miners then the price isn't going to rise.

The people screaming "hodle 4 godl" for months sold out a month ago. Some of the more hardcore enthusiasts like yourself stayed around and are no doubt sitting on a tidy profit due to being in this early but the ones who helped the price rise in January and February have sold out. Unless they come back then this isn't going to rise to the 1000p predictions people have been making on the assumption bitcoin will reach 300k and PE ratio should be high.

You mean like last time when it went from 135p to 200p and now back down to 140p today? Unfortunately traders don't make the share price move in an upwards trajectory for long. I wonder if SR123 is still holding that 500k he bragged about buying at 135p last month - he has been quiet recently.

I don't mind traders, they are welcome to buy and sell whenever they want. I just don't like it when people brag about "buying back in" as if they've pulled off something awesome by selling high and buying lower. They are the reason the price was tumbling to begin with.

I've lost all faith in this share to be honest. It's being traded up, sold and shorted down and people holding it are being done over. I want out but I'm not willing to take the 35% loss I'm sat on. If it goes back to 190p I'll take everything out and eat a 10% loss. I already de-risked some last time at 190p. Might even trade it myself at that point in small amounts to claw that 10% back.

So many people saying "back in". When are you planning to be back out?

Unfortunately people like that prey on new investors. When I first started investing I held some shares in MXC and came across the board on LSE and saw posters like Sam and DJG123 scaremongering and sold up for a 30% loss. The price regained all its losses from the following day over the week. It went down again afterwards but that's irrelevant. That's why I can't stand people like them. Their target audience is people who haven't encountered their tactics before. They are on par with call scammers who pretend to be Sky or a bank and target old ladies.

Yeah I'm not too worried about the 4D share price. Any piece of good news and this will fly. Question is will it hold that rise or fall back again. Out of my current investments the only one I'm worried about is ARB, that's just money circling a plug hole and I regret not selling the lot when I could have gotten out with -10%. Looking at -35% to get the rest out now so not worth it. I only started investing in February and it has been disappointment after disappointment.

Sorry but the share price is falling because I recently bought some shares. Everything I buy plummets. (DDDD (twice now!), ARB, RMM, FUM, PREM, EQT). They even keep plummeting after I sell some. (ARB, CINE, SNG). Even the shares I planned to buy but didn't have cash to buy yet plummet. (HEMO). If you see me buying a share it's time to sell. ARB is down 22% since I sold a portion to fund DDDD. DDDD down 15% since then. Who would have thought that trade would work out despite this drop. Maybe I should stop buying shares and open a cash ISA.

In all seriousness, I wish I had the cash to buy more right now. This price surely has to be way over sold.

Talking of vacancies, they actually added two new ones yesterday. But it got lost amongst all the garbage on this board.

Yeah it makes no sense to knock the share price by 30% and then announce a placing. Would have been better to announce that placing on Friday at 0.55 if that's what they wanted to do for financing. I'm not expecting a placing.

Do you not think supply is outstripping demand because of the consolidation? I mean, new investors looking at the share price are going to see it going in one direction and decide to hold off buying it. I too wish I had waited for this "consolidation" before I bought in, but no one was talking about consolidation when the price was steady at 250-300p. They were talking of fantasy prices upwards of 1000p by the end of the year and 500p within months, along with strong support at 200p.
