RE: It ain't over yet !22 May 2021 15:01
@bonker99 What didn't help for me was the double whammy. Just as bitcoin was reaching its all time high of 65k we were plummeting from 240p to 200p. That should have been a warning signal that a mass sell off was imminent. After the all time high came bitcoin's plummet, which just increased the state of panic amongst ARB shareholders.
I remember back in April the story was that some big institution was selling lots of shares and that's why ARB was stagnating. Could it have been an orchestrated dump by a group of PIs? Tell everyone not to panic as an institution is selling lots of shares whilst they were busy offloading for the best price they could get. You have to be sceptical of everything you read on a BB.
It does look like 30k is the bottom for bitcoin if this cycle is to continue (which is looking increasingly likely). Maybe money will shift back from alt coins into bitcoin and see another quick rise to an all time high. I hope so anyway, it's the only way I will get my losses back on this share.
It sounds like you know what you're doing, resisting the temptation to buy and waiting for a bottom. That comes with experience I suppose. I usually see a share and buy it immediately regardless of whether it's at a bottom, top or middle. Might explain why my buys tend to turn red shortly afterwards. My first ARB purchase was during the 200p placing thinking it was a great entry price. Then I averaged up a week afterwards buying more. I sold those placing shares for 190p, probably the only person who lost money on that.
I just calculated all my buys and loss sells and I would need a share price of 283p to break even on the money I've put into ARB. So I consider that my average now. I could average that down but I'm afraid of putting more money back into this share in case China does ban bitcoin and **** hits the fan causing another crypto bear market. Every optimist on this board has predicted share prices above 283p by the end of this year so if I just put them away and sit on it then eventually I should at least get my money back.
