Chris, Its a fair question. They are a hedge fund and clearly think the risk is worth taking. That's a positive for AVCT.
"Lombard Odier Investment Managers, the asset management arm of the Lombard Odier Group, has experienced profit declines and losses in several areas, including net interest income and overall net profit. In 2022, net profit decreased by 10%, according to finews.com. The bank's assets under management also decreased by 12% in 2022, according to finews.com. Additionally, Lombard Odier has been involved in legal disputes and accusations of mismanagement of funds, including a case with a former hedge fund manager. "
It does not mean that this will backfire for them but just as BG decided to sell and therefore took a pill, does not mean this latest investment won't either.
I have no idea if AVCT will make it or not but I just think there is more chance of dilution in the short term than not which will harm the SP. I could be completely wrong, but now I am out I can't lose as there is no money at risk. (Sure I could/can miss out on a profit if it rises, but that's the choice we all make when buying or selling.
