Where we are....22 Oct 2020 17:59
I only look at the "to Sell" price as that is the only price that matters to me now. We opened today at 180p and closed at 175p on the ambiguous news that AS had sold some shares. Without further explanation there are the 2 obvious scenarios (1 good & 1 bad for those who can't keep up)
The SP normally tells you what you need to know and today's 3% swing is pretty the norm now for this stock.
So I am reasonably assured that the market does not put much, if any, stock in this Director sale, as a harbinger of bad news to follow.
It is unsettling for those who are over committed, because there is a history of missed time scales and we are in fact going through one of the longest, recent periods of no news, and when (today's) news does break it is not helpful in the actual picture we are trying to perceive.
As tree shakes go, (panic induce selling), my view is that it was, today at any rate , pretty much a non-event and as a result, although my frustration level has been notched up (again), nevertheless I will continue to hold and await some actual unambiguous, positive news.
There is a reason why Patience is a virtue
