We miss out yet again on a £b plus order and it s getting on now for the middle of April.

Here's the thing. The Innova test is "our" test. so when the govt purchases ANOTHER £1.2b worth, that's what, 100m tests? 10 weeks worth? which makes it beginning of July before we are in the game? I don't think it's co-incidence that the govt will only give out free test until the end of June.

My best guess now is that we will miss the UK pretty much for sure as evidenced by the quantity of Innova tests bought which gets us to the end of June and then business and people will have to pay. Presumably that's when our test will be ready. (That to me implies we are still a ways off from CV)

Our best hope (and it is a hope now just because I have no idea what AS is doing in a country where there has been millions of positive cases AVCT has not managed to get enough to validate a test), is the RoW but as for the UK I think that ship has really, at last, sailed in the quantities I expected 6 moths ago.

I think all this (govt related) work over the last year is for the next Pandemic, whenever it comes along. The manufacturing, the logistics, the rapid diagnostic test through affimer tech, all will be ready next time for a very rapid response.

So July then?

The reassuring news is that my analysis is usually crap so we should get the RNS on Monday!

Couldn't agree more Mr ST, but I feel your last observation "Now, we just need to wait for the RNS." is pretty key to the rest of it.....

can't see the more optimistic forecasts in the chart myself, but I can see 96p being the next target to aim for with a floor where we are now. This is an attractive buy-in price right now. next week might be fun!

looks like its going to have a final look today at closing/breaking 275p.

Wlll be very bullish if it closes above 275p imo

Like everyone else I could not get in around 255p managed some at 263p and the balance now at 267p

So my interpretation is that as soon as there was a (sizeable) dip the new buys were overwhelming. (I imagine the MM's, if they were in any doubt, know what's coming when the news does drop!)

Don't know if its takes the steam out of today or not, but there still seems to be lot of demand out there for stock.

well, its having another look at 275p..... hang on.....

it might be for Covid tests? Medusa (owned by BH owners) are getting ready to sell millions of tests per moth,

the closing all time high is 275p and we have had a brief look at it this morning. It has had a small retrace which is good because on the intra day chart it needed to wind back a bit.

2 possibilities: When it is close to a resistance level as it is now (275p ) then as it has reached and come off that target indicates that it might fall back to the mid low 260's so some chartists would probably be selling now and banking their profit.

However if buying pressure remains strong and the SP does not fall much (ie stays above 270p for example), then others may wish to hold in expectation that 275p will be conclusively breeched and larger profits realised. The longer it holds at a relatively high level, it is likely that sellers will dry up at lower prices and buyers will be forced to come in sooner rather than later so as to max gains.

So, its a bit Cat & Mouse right now, but you don't need to be an expert to see the trend is up!

really... first things first. it need to close above 19.5p to suggest it has broken the recent downward trend and then break 23p to move further upwards. (just my 2 cents)

Pigs, i'm using a bit of an amalgum. Its a bit messy in the low to mid 260's.

There are some recent weak resistance levels around 260-262 so a closing hold above there (say 264p to be sure), suggests then that 272/274p closing all time high is back in play.

Normally as this is within a trading range its not worth commenting on but this has been the slowest day for as long as I can remember, to have a (relatively) sharp move albeit as I say within a range, caught my attention.

But as ever, we will see....
