What a ridiculous post....more like irrational man/boy.
GDR not GNR!! :-)
I'm also sitting on quite large paper losses but I'm also sitting on my shares waiting for Activ-2 to report. I chose what on the face of it appears to be a bad bunch of pharmas - SNG, AVCT & GNR - who have all fallen in price to different degrees. However GNR looks like it might be starting to come good and is perhaps showing us that only one successful product/trial is needed to turn things around (I know from a low base but...)
For once I'm going to avoid doing anything rash and crystalize my losses by selling.
That is why many of us are holding on for now...
I think there is going to be a huge re-rate when the Activ-2 results come out. Home use and keeping people out of hospital in the US is where it's at. All is not lost, I am optimistic that the Activ-2 trial is being run much more tightly so there will be no negative impact from the use of other medication. Using Sng 0001 on people who had been admitted to hospital meant it was being used on people that were very ill and are always going to be offered treatments to make sure they survive (at least in the first instance) not necessarily to recover more quickly.
Whatever, I'm staying in for now and managed to cut my average with a buy this morning.
2 x £250k buys showing this afternoon plus a couple of other chunky ones. Someone still has faith..
I still maintain the US Active trial was the more important for SNG - prevention of hospitalization is what the US Govt was interested in...
Agreed so I'm going to use the opportunity to average down massively. The at home trial was always likely to be the most important - remember Boris' words that 'we have to learn to live with covid'. What better way than to give people treatment they can take at home?
Enough positives in the RNS for me to stick with it.
Excellent post Reaper, really top notch. Having thought about the RNS for a couple of days it's left me wondering what role the antibodies have had on:
The amount of time taken to get results - early suggestions were that the LFT results could be as quick as 5 minutes but it actually turned out to be 20.
Did the antibody come into the test when it changed how samples were collected?
What role did the UK Govt validation process have in this?
As you can see, it might be that changes made to the product to pass UK Govt approvals had a detrimental effect on the product. In my view it certainly went from future proof and cutting edge to 'a slightly more accurate LFT'.
I still have faith in Avacta, but I hope they stick to their guns as far as product development is concerned - we might drag the authorities along with us and have a product that, like the antivirals, Govts want to stockpile.
My musings anyway, possibly rubbish but hey ho.
We're in the Press......pity it's following this unwanted news....

I rather think the bad sign is new posters like you in this BB with nothing useful to say!!
Cheeky few hundred shares secured before the price tops £2 again, and should stay there! ;-)
Looks like someone has started a petition - I've signed.

Looking at what he's posted on twitter, Myles seems as confused and in the dark as the rest of us:

UK-based
@avacta
has developed one of the most accurate SARS-CoV-2 LFTs worldwide.
It can manufacture it at mass scale + cost competitively.
Despite the looming tidal wave of #Omicron, and the chronic shortage of LFTs,
@UKHSA
isn't allowing #AVCT to sell it in the UK yet.
Why?
Based on yesterday's by-election result, I'd say it's because Boris is ****ing everything up...
I read that article earlier graking - had to check it wasn't an advert for SNG! It certainly supports most if not all of what SNG has been telling us!
Thanks wallyj for the notes - outstanding job! This seems to underline what an incredibly exciting opportunity ACT is, particularly outside the LFT arena and despite the current share price!!!
I think this is simply a way of deterring the more abusive shareholders from clogging the main contact routes to the company. If I remember rightly the abusive messages and calls were something that was mentioned previously. This probably gives them greater control over communications....and the more low life amongst the shareholders.
Bighero - you are indeed that but pretty insecure if you need to keep telling yourself. As for the rest of us, we don't care.
Hope you've been out to buy your new school shoes - not long now...
So nice of people to stop by and tell us the sky is falling in. I keep reminding myself the schools are back shortly ;-)
I've had a little top-up already. Would be worried if there were no buyers but there seems to be plenty willing to hoover the shares up!!
