I like to think that IOG will have informed Gazprom of their intentions (presumably under a force majeure clause) and received reply from Gazprom that they accepted, upon which the RNS was issued ?
That being so we just need to sit tight now and wait for first gas within next couple of weeks to hopefully push the sp to where the majority on here feel it should sit to reward our investment.
Some good news on Southwark resolution in a month or so would further help.

First gas may not be until week commencing 14th March according to last RNS update, as back-gassing only anticipated this week sometime and then first gas "around a week later". So not expecting it until mid March myself and anything sooner would be a bonus.

Surely a sell at that price ?

78.7% upside to 18p, from 4p ? Huh??? I make that over 300% upside. No?

The Gazprom issue could be a nightmare legally ?! IOG have agreed to supply that gas to them so would IOG be legally able to just cancel out due to sanctions and supply other company without risk of costly legal challenge by Gazprom? Any legal experts on here that know about such things?

Good reassuring update that suggests SAV are cracking on towards DFS regardless of court case and considering the environment at every step to help smooth that side of things as much as possible. Hopefully the start of positive regular newsflow that we need to help the sp along.

Very positive update with more defined clarity for first gas timing and much better news on Southwark than I had feared, although the missing part is how much delay this has caused to drilling results but a good update so thanks IOG and please keep the news flowing, along with copious volumes of gas and cash !

Problem is that SAV's fortunes essentially lie in the hands of Portugal's politicians and we all know that they will do whatever serves them best and not necessarily best for the country or its future wellbeing.

That article is almost two months old and the links within it are even older so no new news, just same old arguments from NIMBYS in the region. Let's all pray that Portuguese Govt have the balls to approve SAV's plans and push ahead with the plans ASAP.

Last RNS clearly says updates (plural) would be issued for 3 events, fist of which was completion of SBRF so that clearly not achieved yet, meaning the final 7% must be proving tricky?
The timescale given and wording is so vague though so they would claim that all still on-target, and no doubt they class mid Feb up until 20th , and about a week after for first gas takes us up to March in their eyes I'm sure. Then Southwark is 4 to 6 weeks so no doubt the full 6 weeks to 8th March will be taken before any update, by when they will hope first gas is flowing and sp has risen. They obviously think PR is shorthand for PooR relations.

SailorNL- Good update. Concerns me greatly that no activity around Southwark which suggests straightforward resolution not workable and a major rethink underway which surely IOG should be announcing ?
Sincerely hope Normand Subsea is not dealing with any issue with problematic connection and merely standard process prior to first flow very soon.....everything crossed for the announcement of flow and consequential sp boost before the Souhwark update brings it crashing back down.

Disappointing to hit mid Feb today but no announcement of back-gassing or Southwark update. Very poor indeed and abject failure on investor relations side of things.

Starfoxx - thanks for posting that article. Based on what it says then the concession would have been reviewed in 2021 latest and must have been successful so surely no valid challenge can be made now based on 2016 if its been sanctioned again since then.
Plus the area approved can be up to 5000 hectares so as MDB is only around 10% of that then I can't imagine a problem about size of it.
So if these facts are correct and clear to see then I don't understand why the company haven't issued RNS to state this in detail to put investors minds at rest. The steady drop of price suggests lack of confidence in MDB and board should address this urgently.

Pizzarolls- nothing here not previously known. Parish claim is based on fact that concession was agreed in 2006 as 120 hectares to explore feldspar and quartz, but in 2016 it was amended illegally they claim to cover over 500 hectares and to include lithium. Goes on to say that EIA decision due soon and if approved then exploration for lithium can go ahead.
So, fingers and toes crossed for EIA approval soon.....

Personally disappointed that SAV and Portugal's government unable to throw this case on the rubbish pile over the course of this last week. I know legal things normally drag on but if no substance at all then should have been easy to demo strate that by simply publishing the terms of the 2016 agreement for all to see and challenge Parish Council to reply by showing exactly where their problem lies within it. But instead nothing forthcoming so seems this will drag on and risk fostering further anti-mining support in the region. Will be interesting to see if it has zero effect on progress of the EIA process as claimed in the last RNS. Agree with previous posts saying that no point in going after further licenses if the EIA process is not sorted as what's he point if not sure that such approvals are possible to get in the area, even with apparent quality of SAV's proposal.

Viable - the lack of newsflow on Southwark concerns me too and the silence is indeed deafening. Given SAV's track record for news silence it can only mean bad news ahead regarding Southwark I fear, and I worry they will announce it with first gas to try and dampen the impact, but that would only negatively affect gas flow news. Obviously having to have a big rethink on Southwark plan.....
