I agree and would happily accept a bid of 45p region as fed up with the constant disappointment over years of investing here.

Is there any possibility that the sp manipulation is part of the plan to buy LOG out at the cheapest price possible if an agreement is in place slready and the price is agreed to be an average sp over the second quarter or so, which obviously LOG would have thought would be in the 60s region at least given the newsglow but will actually be in the 30s given current situation. Then after their exit the sp would shoot to its rightful value minus the manipulation? Clutching at straws to explain the sp but could that be a valid scenario?

Nobody is going to be bidding for SAV until the court case is thrown out or won and the EIA/DIA all signed off, and as soon as those things happen I trust there will be a big rise in the sp anyway and SAV's takeout price would also rise considerably.

Wow the selling this week is relentless. We really need some very positive newsflow to hope to attract some buying pressure to counteract it, but given the massive volumes held by some potential sellers then it might not halt it anyway ? Totally at the mercy of whatever planor intention the seller(s) has.

I'm surprised this board is not full of comments about last night's meeting, either good or bad. Did many not go? Were you sworn to secrecy about what was said? Was it freeflow drink so can't remember or not surfaced yet?

GGIS - I agree. Paranoia creeps in due to such silences in case there are more problems and they are trying to sort rather than inform, which is obviously not permitted but nothing would surprise me with this BOD. I find it hard to believe it would take this long to get the rig sorted again as it was already in place prior to scouring problem so surely it wasn't stripped down entirely between then and now ?
I trust that those attending tonight will update fully via this board all info given/discussed. Surely we must get an RNS this week to update in detail.

Starfoxx - I could counter your analogy with numerous examples of buildings torn down due to lack of correct permissions in place beforehand and a refusal to allow permission to be given until the building is removed first.
Anyway, I guess we'll just have to all wait and see what happens as none of us know for sure as it's in the hands of politicians and lawyers (neither of which are trustworthy or predictable), badgered by environMENTALISTS ! Let's hope Portugal make the right decisions for their future prosperity and Europe's role in battery supply....and before too much longer.

Starfoxx - note your comments and timeline, but I still fail to see how the parish case can't affect MdB if their case is that lithium exploration was never part of the agreement and the size of the agreed area was smaller. Surely if their case is upheld then it throws doubt on MdB proceeding or at least severely delayed as they would need to go back to the start for permissions, etc ? Hard to imagine but the challengers will drag this on as long as they possibly can to delay progress towards mining starting which can only be severely damaging for SAV now it's a single project company so very much a binary outcome.....in June !

Quietmode3 - my take is that despite SAV claiming the court case will not hold anything up, I can't imagine anyone would sign off the EIA/DIA until it is sorted. We can only hope that the profile is high enough nationally around Lithium to get the central govt to strike out the case promptly to enable the sign off to occur and things get moving before money runs low or another source in Europe comes to light in a country that moves a lot quicker than Portugals snail pace and has a sharper focus on modern development of their country than the tree-huggers challenging the MdB.

Only way you might get 60p any time soon would be if a bid is made to buy IOG but the LOG factor may prevent a bid, plus the track record of issues cropping up may also deter bidders, so it looks like the long game to see what happens.

Not seen Villa win the league either yet (and probably won't ever) so that bet is still open, but I know which my money is on !

Sounds like the process is going to be like the proverbial watching paint dry. The area sounds like it needs this badly to prevent the population drain so let's hope that proves much stronger than the anti-mining element.
Portugal has a great opportunity here to drag itself to the forefront of European battery industry or face a future of decline and population loss if they blow their chance. The Govt both centrally and locally need to make certain they do all they can to make this happen.

GGIS, I thought the same last week but then yesterday's RNS hit us, so who knows what will happen in next couple of weeks ?! We all live in hope that law of averages says we've had more than our share of setbacks but IOG just seem to take backward steps at very inconvenient moments ! Fingers crossed for a period of nothing but good news for rest of the year and beyond.....

This news makes IOG look so amateurish it's unbelievable. They whittered on over previous months of delays that they were making sure everything was safe and operational but now this within no time of starting production flow. WTF were the tests for beforehand if they don't spot this kind of **** that clearly showed up pretty much immediately?! The term cowboys comes to mind and visualisation of a bunch of clueless suits bumbling around in the dark trying to make a fast buck. They should be waiving those hefty rewards or cutting them in half at least. Sort it out or get out !
