This is where you do not understand the numbers. They didn't just reduce stock other elements had a direct impact so when you take debtors and creditors into the mix as well the total working capital increased by around £60m off the top of my head.

For example if I reduce my stock (cash positive) then you'll reduce your creditors (cash negative) because you won't have as many supplier invoices outstanding. Same with debtors if they increase (negative) or decrease (positive).

peepee - firstly google is not quality research and it's why it's throwing you up **** sources like motley fool and stockpedia, basically investing clickbait. secondly analysts notes are good but they are not fact and are quite often wrong, sometimes badly. they are usually one persons view.

then whole premise of boohoo's analyst call was 'back to growth'. an admission that the company has had a tough time and how they plan to turn it around on multiple fronts. customer acquisition costs will be high to start with as they roll out across the us. but they know what they are doing thanks to the continued success of plt. i expect this next set of accounts to be tough with lots of exceptional, duplicate costs and depreciation costs due to all the cap ex. however i am expecting a much improved underlying trading performance as increased sales, cost savings and better cash management come onto play.

Can you appreciate the relationship between sales and gross margin and how sales can fall but at a higher margin greater profit and cash flow can be achieved, ie more quality profitable sales.

There are no tax reasons to be incorporated in Jersey for Boohoo. Boohoo pays tax in UK. Mahmud Kamani is resident in UK and will pay tax on his shares.'

Boohoo pays UK tax on its UK income, then Jersey tax on its global income after it has paid tax in each jurisdiction. Kamani only pays tax on his UK income if he receives a dividend from the Jersey company. The main benefit will be the taxation around the shares themselves though when they are bought, sold and moved around.

Yes Oke - The marketplace should mainly be intangibles and they can fee the other brands through.

A FTSE chief can hardly stick anything in their pension. It’s moved from £4K to £10k for the current financial year on their level of earnings.

Jersey company law is different but companies that do business in the UK have to comply with UK laws, just like Boohoo trading in the US has to comply with US laws.

I'm sure Liberum like any Analysts have a good idea. They're used to working on numbers and there are ways and means of finding out what Shein's numbers might be, like, through pay channels, for example, Visa, Klarna, etc.

I'm sure Liberum can pay for this information or whatever information they need to find out about Shein's numbers.

So, your thinking that they don't know Shein's numbers may not be the case.

Analysts have to work on future estimates for companies' results so I'm sure they've got an idea on how to work out Shein's numbers.’

PeePee - Shein is a secretive Chinese private company. They only share their financials with their investors. You’ve posted links in the past where the authors have even explained that there is little information available. That will change with a NASDAQ listing but for now they are an unknown. The only thing we know for sure is that they keep having to raise billions of dollars.

And yes Boohoo has to follow AIM Rules however AIM Rules aren't as stringent as the FTSE or the NASDAQ or the S and P or the Dow.

I work with jersey incorporates companies that operate in the UK. We don’t get any breaks on any rules.

Plus there is a difference between the FTSE 350 and FTSE main list. On the main list you do not have to work with a NOMAD.

This is the problem when you gain your knowledge via Googling. It’s not hard to spot someone who hasn’t got a clue what they are talking about.

If BH wanted less onerous regulation they would be on the standard list, we have been through this before. Plus registration in Jersey doesn't prevent them from having to comply with all the UK and AIM rules, it's main use is for tax purposes.
