Well RR are in the brown stuff and the model revolves around quality customers with solid investment grade ratings.

So I wouldn’t say RR would be a good first headline contract. I’ve just read the FT article and they are being underwritten by the big boys so I don’t think SYME would be able to get anywhere near them.

RR have just had their credit rating downgraded to junk so presumably they wouldn't meet SYME's criteria now?

I’ve been spanked twice by Tesla recently. First with the stock split when HSBC took a week to get the extra shares to me then the price tanked. Then I loaded up for battery day, which to be fair are back up to what I bought them at now.

I first invested back in April though so it’s been a five bagger for me.

Surely the larger players are not going to devalue their brand by rolling their sleeves up and rolling round in the mud with Boohoo. I don't think they are the real competition anyway. It's more New Look (possible takeover target), H & M, and Primark (who don't sell online).

Why has this flown up today? A pleasant surprise.

I took some profits yesterday at 385p and put an order in this morning for 365p which I wasn't expecting to trigger so a nice surprise given I have now took a medium term view.

I'd love it to be true but I just can't see a company the size of RR, leaning on SYME and an Italian bank with €8b (small fry).
The rumours around the middle east wealth fund seem far more plausible.

Think there’s a lack of business acumen showing here. Anyone who has been involved in the due diligence or tendering process knows there a massive box ticking exercise to be carried out through the main supply chain. It’s a massive oversight on Boohoo’s part. It goes some way to explain why the margins are so back and in all likelihood BH turned a blind eye to it and enjoyed the sun while it was shining.

Boohoo are most likely not quite large enough yet that they can probably just about get away with it. That said I like making money as well and think companies being expected to play the role of government has probably gone a bit too far.

If anything this stella earnings figure has shone the spotlight back on the scandal piece. Very frustrating that it won’t just go away.
