Has anyone done any research on whether SYME can be used when a prospective client already has asset backed lending in place?

I think this may pose a question as to how big SYME’s total addressable market actually is and might limit how scalable this could become.

I can see the potential - not writing it off by any stretch. There are questions marks in several areas imo. I’m just trying to look at it realistically. If I’m proven wrong I benefit so all is good.

The platform will need constant redevelopment to stay on top. Especially once the copycats come in. Does anyone know the average profit reinvestment For development for a tech company? Digital marketing costs soon start to add up especially if you’re trying to hit a global audience.

The last few RNS have sent the SP down. I think this is the market kicking a bit of realism in. I bailed out after the last RNS but have since come back in with a smaller holding which I intend to build as it develops.

A lot of the talk and analysis on here is centred around revenue with zero focus on cost, and in particular development and marketing costs which could potentially be huge.

Cahoodle - we don’t know who these companies are and what Calibre they are yet. I’ll feel a lot more confident once the uk arm is up and running.

Max - syme is supposed to be dealing with quality investment grade companies, not propping up insolvent companies. Plus how much interest do we know there is in this model? We only know what AZ tells us. I’d also like to see some of these big client companies go through audits to properly establish this new asset class and see if it stacks up.

I’m not saying this won’t work just that people who are getting carried away might also be setting themselves up for a massive disappointment.

It could be massive. But at this stage it’s a hypothesis, a concept. It’s a one man band at the start of his journey.

Folk need to reset their expectations. A tiny start up is not going to be bailing out RR or Macys. They operate in a completely different league. It's quite frankly ludicrous.

That's interesting that the market thinks this is a good time to start buying Apple again. I went back in a couple of weeks ago and it's only moved a couple of dollars and dropped a bit at first.

Maybe to do with the next Iphone announcement, 5G, etc.

Is there any indication on how much revenue will be reinvested on future development?

Presumably if this works the market will flood with competitors.

I had in my diary that results are not due until December. If there is a momentum build up before results I think I'll take my profits the night before just in case.

I hoping it's going to build up nicely until then. A great recovery stock imo which I am now holding. I'm on their database and they are throwing the kitchen sink at digital marketing.

The high street was on it's arse pre COVID as well.

This years budget has been cancelled due to Covid, unless they do something later in the fiscal year if the situation improves, which seems unlikely.

I’ve dipped in and out of Cineworld over the last few months and bailed out completely after the uptick on the takeover rumour and glad I stayed out as it been pretty much downhill ever since.

I don’t get the fascination with LTH holding and holding like a badge of honour until your money is virtually gone. I’d be trying to recoup what I can as there are so many better places to put it at the moment.

Cinemas, Airlines, Banks, Oil, all on their arses and only really worth investing in at the bare minimum of an approved vaccine IMO.

Great thread. These are exactly the kind of questions that people should be asking rather than getting carried away with the revenue model.

If SYME is physically checking and verifying the stock then surely that is a high cost activity that requires the wearing of lots of hats and will eat into margin?

Also we don’t deal with companies where the stock isn’t moving in the first place

Vat is an eu thing and most others countries have their own sales tax.

The point is I guess that money will not go far when you’re dealing with companies like RR. Yes this is only the first tranche of debt but surely the concept needs to be proven before bigger funding rolls in. SYME needs to start small.

I’m concerned that the funding will dry up pretty quick.
