At the simplest level the auditors job is to verify that the numbers put forward by the company offer a true and fair view of their position at any given time. It’s not their job to dictate whether companies are too highly leveraged, taking on too much risk, etc, only confirm that there is enough cash or finance available to be considered a going concern.

I'm thinking the same - see what happens tomorrow and hopefully have a bottom for Wednesday. There's no rush, anything under 300p a good entry point.

I think the point here is that with Boohoo's wealth of experience they (should) know how much the items cost to make and that the prices they were receiving from the sweat shops should have raised red flags and Boohoo have perhaps chosen to ignore them in favour of a decent margin.

If this was in China no one would care, but when it's on our doorstep if becomes a bigger deal and with a free press and a raging left wing media Boohoo are ripe for the taking. The more worrying aspect for me is the circumstances around the resignation of the auditor which could be harmless or could point to their being more to come out which the market seems to be pricing in.

Inferno - mucked up on ASOS fully admit. However I entered Boohoo at 270p in June and took profits before and after results before rotating out completely into ASOS. Good entry point now though but I'm going to wait a couple of days for ASOS to hopefully recover slightly. If that happens the ASOS loss wont actually matter as I would have bough into Boohoo cheaper and will probably have more shares.

Two ways to make money if your prepared to not be one dimensional.

It's not a change of auditor they have resigned. Along with the slave, labour, dodgy practices in the Leicester rag trade, etc, etc, and a general feeling that there may be more to come.

Definitely an entry point coming soon though.

Ben I agree with you in that respect. It hasn’t stopped me or my family doing anything since the reopening other than proper nights out. There are plenty of people though that are scared and the media don’t help.

Everyone indoors for the winter though - it’s already surging and the deaths and hospital admissions reflect that. US is slightly behind us like before.

The more they open up the leisure economy the sooner they will have to close it all back down once winter bites.

M00la. The problem is CINE in it’s current guise is not a profitable business. It’s an unviable one and it’s burning through cash with no end in sight. Rapid test on entry is probably more useful at the moment than vaccine. But that’s going to shoot up the operating costs.

The smart money here is on waIting to see what form it comes out in. Current shareholders are at the back of the queue.

That’s all very well but doesn’t take into account the continual unease people will have with large social gatherings even with a vaccine. A vaccine at the start of next year seems the best case scenario. Can CINE conserve cash, keep the creditors at bay, landlords happy and they won’t get any bailout like the airlines in the US.
