Worries about inflation interest rate hikes and the US debt ceiling commanding the narrative at the moment. Plus a rotation out of tech in the US and inti value. So bitcoin, banks and the energy/commodities are doing well,

By building your own data centre you can completely bespoke it to your requirements and you would usually buy say double the plot so you can cater for expansion by expanding the footprint of the building.

Also, given power is so important to us I’m assuming it’s easier to work on something renewable and have more options if you’re constructing. Then there’s security of tenure - your destiny is in your own hands. No dodgy landlords, high rent reviews, etc.

Not too sure how desirable a company in the crypto space would be for potential landlords. There’s a lot of boxes to tick which I think would make it difficult to lease.

Plus once the site is built we could always sale and leaseback and out working capital back into the business.

Primark’s model wouldn’t work online. They barely make any margin on the cloths as it is without having to deal with online returns.

I enjoy the scrutiny and I know tesla is at a high valuation that it needs, and my play is that it will, grow into.

I bought in 18 months ago and cashed in most of my holding last year.

I’ve bought bought back in today, very small holding to start with to manage my risk Incase this is spiky.

I was probably a bit hasty exiting a couple of weeks ago but did a pretty brutal portfolio consolidation and CBX got swept up in it.

So those impressive delivery numbers and the large 33% drop in GM’s numbers pretty much support the anecdotal evidence that I’m seeing in the marketplace.

Tesla are firing on all cylinders while the other manufacturers are trying to pivot towards EV and PHEV while suppling ICE vehicles whilst managing the chip shortage very badly in the back ground.

Looking forward to the trading update now and how much the forward PE will have come down.

I’d say it’s definitely having an impact.

Moderna are over 10% down as well as it might have an impact on the success of their booster vaccine.

There’s nothing wrong with the underlying performance and growth. I agree with the view that supply chain issues are temporary and will affect everyone. It’s a short and hopefully not medium term headwind.

I closed two thirds of my position on Tuesday and my stop loss has been knocked out on the remainder this morning so I’m looking to buy back in now once the dust has settled. Seems to have given ASOS a decent knock as well which I guess is to be expected.

My strategy is buy ASOS today and look again at Boohoo next week.

It’s seems to me that the competitive advantage that Tesla have is that they don’t need to build ICE cars. 100% focus on business that’s going to drive revenue growth going forwards while all the other manufacturers are scrabbling around trying to find chips for their ICE dog products.

I’ve had two BMW orders adjusted today. One where they can’t supply the tech plus and another where they can only supply the lumbar support to either the driver or passenger side ….

ARBK are separate shares trading on a separate exchange.

I don’t subscribe to this arbitrage idea as I am in SENX which is traced in UK and Poland and the gulf between the valuations on the two different exchanges was massive.

Well I was in CBX for a while and never heard a peep from PW so not entirely sure what he is doing for them.

He’s certainly not involved in handling shareholders, although they are not up and running yet so most likely nothing to report.

I’ve closed 2/3 of my position today as a hedge.

I agree that no matter how good the numbers enthusiasm will be dampened by the current operational constraints. I’m expecting a drop similar to Ocado and ASOS.

Plus I’m factoring in what’s happening over in the US with the tech growth stocks which are being pummelled as the 10 year treasury note rises.

I’m being picky here but crypto is an intangible asset :)

I don’t think any mainstream bank would lend to a small cap in the crypto space. The risk/compliance department would have a field day. Which is why we’ve had to go to specialist lenders in the space like Galaxy and pay what was it, 10-12% interest.

Plus what we don’t know at the minute is how much btc was required to commit the Galaxy loan collateral. Everything I have read suggest crypto borrowers have to massively over collateralise.

Is £100k realistic though seriously?

I think you’ve got to look at btc as a store of value rather than thinking it’s going to take over the global financial system.

It’s the new age gold.
