Dan - My assumption is that if this was to come in (which I think is highly unlikely) it would be like a vat rise and would be passed onto the consumer therefore not affecting margin, they would soon get used to paying it, and life goes on as normal. As long as it's across the board and all our competitors have to charge it then the playing field is level.

I usually try and buy when everyone is selling and vice versa. I have to believe in medium term upward momentum and I’m not seeing it here or any of the other covid winners for the time being.

I’m out of both this and boohoo now for the time being.

I don’t think we’re anywhere near the bottom of these under the current market conditions. There’s too much cost and uncertainty so I’m preserving my capital and looking for the next opportunity.

The CEO all of a sudden going is a massive red flag for me without adequate explanation in my view.

Stock building could be Brexit related as well.

The company I work for stock piled this time last year in preparation for brexit, snd then again earlier in the year in expectation of the rebounding of the economy. We are in trade supplies though.

The UK has a swollen middle class. I don’t think they are bricking it too much over a bit of inflation. If anything it will be your Primark customer who will have to forgo the bath bombs and lipsticks ….
