Belated thanks Level5. I did manage a small top up this AM on the dip. I'm a LTH, mainly here for the dividends
I personally am sick and tired of reading long and tedious rants about putin's politics and I'm going to filter anyone who writes them. At least that way they'll take up less room on my screen. Bye Bye IndridCold
On topic?? Could someone remind me when GKP goes ex dividend, please?
X-O have paid the dividend
Carve re "....., it was because your asked! Have you forgotten you posted this?

So what would you have done differently Noel?? I find its very easy to critise, particulary with 20:20 hindsight. Much more difficult to provide a constructive alternative!
No I had not forgotten I'd posted it. I haven't had an answer yet.
I think that you are stretching a point considerably if you are insinuating that all the irrelevant posts stem from my one question, but hey "don't let the facts get in the way of a good story"
I must have missed something here. I (obviously mistakenly) thought this board was focused on discussions regarding Fresnillo's activities? It seems that there are a lot of posters purely focused on pedalling conspiracy theories.
So what would you have done differently Noel?? I find its very easy to critise, particulary with 20:20 hindsight. Much more difficult to provide a constructive alternative! I suppose we could have tried negotiating a peace contract with Mr Puting and come back waving a piece of paper ......
Re "[Looney] Really needs to polish up his PR skills."
I think that Bernie needs to held to account for this incredible faux pas. A trully elemental mistake.
Unfortunately I don't think we will get a chance to that until the nexAGM, almost a year away.
Just wondered if anyone had a view as to whether there is any advantage in holding BP.A (8% preferemce shares) inside an ISA envelope?
I'm guessing that this isn't a very active forum!!! Just wondered if anyone had a view as to whether there is any advantage in holding these dhares inside an ISA envelope?
I did the same, for the same reason. I have held and will continue to hold, but have no desire to go cruising any time soon. I take my hat off to any of you out there who had the balls to buy this share when the SP was so low it was at "junk bond" status
Well personally, I'd be happy to see BP cut back proportioately (to the Windfall tax) levied any investment in the UK, UNLESS there are VERY good reasons (future profit) why it must go ahead here.
I have to hold my hands up and say I jumped in (with a top up) when the SP peaked at approx £3. Got carried away with the rise and thought we going to take off. I still think that in a year's time (hopefully less) I'll get me money back, "with interest"
Heckler, was there a touch of sarcasm there?
Thanks Lazarus, nice to read a soundly based factual post.
I wondered how long it would be before we had the "You had it easy, we had a cardbox syndrome" ....
Not gone into X-O yet.
Re "Who sells big chunks at this low level?" .... Possibly someone who "knows" something or someone desperate for "cash"???
SP is down almost 6% on that news. Holding for the long term. Shares are in the bottom drawer
The next Inchcape plc dividend will go ex on 12th May for 16.1p and will be paid in 2 months. Approx 3.6% Dividend yield at todays SP
